NSIC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

- Had a hand in three of the Marauders wins with three NCAA provisional times at the
Al Bortke Open
- Blazed her way to a school record in the 100 meter hurdles, clearing the barriers in 13.55 seconds
- The old mark was 13.63 seconds, set by Janet Johnson in 2013
- Opened the day with a win in the 100 meter dash with a clocking of 11.73 seconds
- Rounded out the meet by leading the 4x100 meter relay team to a win
- Joined Tanesha Davis, Maria Bolibruch and Julia Hammerschmidt to a win in a provisional qualifying time of 46.66 seconds

- Placed first in discus and shot put and second in hammer throw at
Concordia Invite in Seward, Nebraska
- Had an NCAA automatic mark of 172-10 to win discus, which ranks fifth in NCAA Division II
- Won the shot put with mark of 50-5.25
- Took second in hammer throw at 201-8, her second mark over 200 feet this season
- Her marks lead the NSIC in the shot put by almost four feet, the hammer by 21 feet, and the discus by 24 feet
- Named NSIC Field Athlete of the Week for second consecutive week

- The sophomore just missed her personal-best in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing sixth with a mark of 68.17
- Her time was good enough to rank 11th in the NSIC this outdoor season |

- The freshman also took 10th in the hammer throw finishing one inch behind teammate Grube, who established a personal best 135-4. Grube also took 10th in the javelin with a personal-best throw of 98-0

- Kalle Burney picked up a win and 10 points in the heptathlon with a PR mark of 4600 points. The highlight came in the high jump as she broke the outdoor school record by clearing 5'3.75" to finish first. Burney finished fourth or better in all but one event, including a second win in the 800 meter dash. She also helped add a point in the 4x400 meter relay
- Erica Young added five more points in the heptathlon with a PR of her own as she took fourth with 4206 points. She took second in the long jump as well as third in the 200 meter dash, javelin throw and 800 meter dash. In addition, she helped the 4x100 meter relay team grab a pair of points with a seventh place result |

- The final Marauders provisional qualifying mark was provided by Jamilee Gordon, who won the triple jump with an impressive mark of 12.08 meters
- Alexis Zeis dominated the 1,500 meter run, winning with a time of 4:39.67 |

- Competing at home for the only time this season, the University of Mary women's track and field team put on a dominant show for their fans at the second annual Al Bortke Open

- Kenzie Soeken was the story of the week, setting the outdoor school record in the heptathlon
- Soeken scored a total of 4,021 points and placed sixth overall in the event
- The two-sport athlete finished with a time of 16.43 in the 100H, had a high jump mark of 1.50m (4'-11"), threw the shot put 9.26m (30'-4.75"), and ran a 27.37 200m
- Soeken then finished with a long jump of 4.88m, a javelin throw of 27.13m (89'-0"), and ran a 2:35.34 200-meter dash to round out the event
- Breyanna Hill ran a 1:03.42 in the 400-meter dash to place 24th overall, while Ashley Brady finished 27th with a time of 1:10.71, and Josie Breitsprecher ran a 1:14.98 to place 28th
- Hill also participated in the 200-meter dash and finished 39th overall with a time of 27.95, and Brady finished four spots behind with a 29.95
- Alyssa Weber finished 27th overall in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:36.21
- Chandra Smith ran her usual 5000 meter event and finished 18th with a time of 21:14.04 in the final track event of the week for the Peacocks
- Caitlin Himes opened the field events placing fourth in the discuss throw with a toss of 43.25m (141'-11") for the best finish of the Showdown for Upper Iowa
- Bridgett Madden finished 28th in the event with a throw of 30.41m (99'-9")
- Four other Peacocks participated in the javelin throw outside of Soeken, and Cami Pickett finished 13th in the event with a throw of 32.20m (105'-8")
- Gabbie Mohs finished right behind her teammate with a throw of 30.81m (101'-1"), while Taylor Dormann (26.05m) and MeKenzie Coppage (21.22m) finished 19th and 23rd, respectively
- In the long jump, Shania Kappes finished 27th with a leap of 4.15m (13'-7.5"), and was the lone UIU participant in the event
- Madden was the only shot put participant outside of the heptathlon, and she placed 24th with a throw of 10m (32'-9.75") |
