NSIC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#42 Sarah Grow (F, 6-2, So., Circle Pines, Minn. / Centennial HS) - Minnesota Duluth

- Averaged a double-double registering 14.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks
- Tallied nine points, a season-high 12 rebounds and 3 blocks in a 51-36  win over USF
- Scored a season high 20 points, with 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in a 60-39 win over SMSU
- Grow went 9-of-11 for 18 points in the second and third quarters as UMD went from trailing by 10 to leading by 17 versus SMSU
- Helped hold both opponents under 40 points and under 27% shooting from the field

NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#40 Shelby Selland (C, 6-2, Sr., Letcher, S.D. / Sanborn Central HS) - Augustana
- Averaged an NSIC best 25 points in two home wins
- Added 9.5 rebounds and shot 71.4% from the field (20-of-28)
- Scored a career high 27 points to go with 14 rebounds in a 86-54 win over UMC
- Scored 23 points and grabbed  five rebounds in 22 minutes of play in a 97-48 win over BSU
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the second straight week

- Bemidji State shot 30.8 percent (37-120) from the field, 22.0 percent (11-50) from beyond the arc and 810 (34-42) from the free throw line

- Sophomore center Taylor Bray set a career-high 24 points versus the Wildcats and tied the BSU single-game record for most consecutive free throws made without a miss at 14

- CSP claimed victories over Upper Iowa and Winona State on the weekend, extending their winning streak to three games
- Against Upper Iowa, Concordia had their biggest margin of victory since a win against UPR Rio Piedras early in the 2015-16 season
- Neither team had a lead bigger than six points in CSP’s matchup with WSU, but the Golden Bears were able to close the game on an 8-2 run to secure the victory
- Concordia received balanced scoring in both contests, with 34 bench points against Upper Iowa and six players with six points or more against Winona State

- Lindsay Dorr averaged 16 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks as she continued her production in the lane and around the basket
- Kyrah Fredenburg pulled down 16 rebounds against WSU and 14 rebounds against UIU, also averaging 7.5 points and three assists
- Anna Schmitt averaged 12.5 points and 4.5 assists and closed the game against WSU on a 5-0 run of her own to give the Bears the win

- USF struggled offensively and shot under 23 percent in consecutive games while losing 51-36 to Minnesota Duluth and 66-41 to St. Cloud State
-  USF shot a season low of 21.3 percent (13-of-61) in a loss to UMD and nearly matched it by making 22.4 percent (13-of-58) against SCSU. The Cougars, which made just 13-of-59 three pointers, were averaging 79 points per game before the two games and didn’t score that total combined
- The 36 points by USF vs UMD was the lowest in the DII era 
- USF ranks fourth in the NSIC in scoring defense at 56.8 points per game and despite a tough weekend, still stand fifth in scoring at 71.5 ppg. USF is also fourth in the NSIC in three-point field goal defense at 27.4 percent.
Top Performer(s)
- Junior guard Kaely Hummel averaged 15.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while making 8-of-15 from three-point range in the two losses
- Hummel was 10-of-28 from the field and made both of her foul shots
- She had a season high eight rebounds against Minnesota Duluth
- With 11 points against UMD and 19 against St. Cloud State, Hummel now has 48 double-digit scoring games in her career and 855 career points
- Hummel ranks ninth in the league with 15.2 points per game and is second in free throw shooting at 89.7 percent with 26 made foul shots on 29 attempted
- She also ranks fifth in the league with 2.4 made threes per game.

- She also recorded an impressive 10 blocks over the weekend
- Madelin Dammann averaged 14.5 points per game, tallying a season-high 20 points in the win over SMSU
- She, along with Kilboten, Mallie Doucette and Katrina Theis all averaged double-digit points over the weekend, as Doucette and Theis each averaged 12.5 points per game

- Madelin Dammann averaged 14.5 points in two games for the second consecutive week
- Dammann scored a season-high 20 points in the Huskies win over SMSU before adding nine in the win over USF
- Nikki Kilboten tallied 23 points in two games over the weekend, averaging a double-double with 11.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game over the weekend
- Recorded the first double-double of her career as she tallied a career-high 15 points and 14 rebounds in St. Cloud State’s win over SMSU on Friday
- Added a team-leading nine rebounds in the win over (RV) Sioux Falls on Saturday

- Despite Upper Iowa's second-best shooting performance of the season, Minnesota State led wire-to-wire and shot above 50 percent in three quarters to top the Peacocks on Saturday evening

- Ally Fink shot 52.9 percent over the weekend and recorded 20 points, four rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and one steal
