NSIC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#15 Isieoma Odor (F/C, 6-0, R-Sr., Bloomington, Minn. / JFK HS) - Minnesota Crookston
- Tallied 21 points and seven rebounds in a 70-61 win over Bemidji State
- Was 10-of-15 from the field for 66.7 percent and 1-of-1 from the foul line
- Added one assist, one block, and two steals
- Moved to seventh all-time on the career scoring list at UMC with 1,122 points
- Moved to third all-time for career rebounds with 609
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the third time this season (11/13/18 & 11/19/18)

NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#45 Rachel Shumski (F, 6-0, So., Granada, Minn. / Granada Huntley East Chain HS) - Minnesota State
- Led the Mavericks in scoring against the Golden Bears with 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season
- Averaged 14.5 points per game on the week along with 6.5 boards while blocking four total shots
- Made 11-18 shots from the floor as well as all seven of her free throw attempts, all in only 41 combined minutes

 

Augustana University Vikings

- Five players scored double-figures; leading the way for the Vikings was Lynsey Prosser, who recorded 15 points, four steals, and four assists - Shelby Selland was right behind Prosser with 14 points in 31 minutes of action, going 6 of 13 from the field - The other three double-digit scorers were Abby Hora (12), Vishe' Rabb (12) and Hana Metoxen (10)

- Sophomore forward Gabby Dubois recorded her second double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds versus Minnesota Crookston - Sophomore guard Brooklyn Bachmann led BSU with 19 points against UW-Superior in her first start of the season - Dubois averaged a team-high 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game over the week

- The Golden Bears saw their four-game winning streak snap as they fell to Minnesota State in their conference opener - Minnesota State was able to limit the Golden Bears to 31.1% from the field and 14.3% from three - Concordia won second half scoring (38-35) but had too big of a hole to climb out of with a 48-22 halftime score

- Lindsay Dorr scored 18 points and collected eight rebounds, scoring 14+ points for the sixth straight game to start the season - Lexi Lee set a career high in scoring with 14 points, also posting four rebounds and two assists

- Jr. Gabbie Bohl posted a double-double with 15 points and had 10 rebounds - Soph. Coral Gillette scored 18 points while knocking down five three pointers - Fresh. Lexie Schneider had nine points and nine rebounds - Soph. Macy Williams led the team in both assists and steals

- The Golden Eagles continue to be off to their best start since 2004-05 with a 6-1 mark on the season - Minnesota Crookston used a run in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter to upend Bemidji State 70-61 to open conference play with a victory - The Golden Eagles were ranked 10th in the D2SIDA Central Region poll released Monday, Dec. 3. It is the first time in recent history that Minnesota Crookston has earned placement in the top 10 of the poll - Isieoma Odor has moved to seventh all-time on the career scoring list with 1,122 points, surpassing Micaela Noga - Odor needs 84 points to move past former Golden Eagle and current Southwest Minnesota State assistant coach Brittani Wiese for sixth place - Odor has also moved to third all-time with 609 career rebounds, recently surpassing Emily Gruber; Odor needs 87 rebounds to move past Laurie Tyson for second all-time and 89 to surpass Katrina Nordick for the school record

- Isieoma Odor notched 21 points and seven rebounds in a win over Bemidji State - Caitlin Michaelis tallied 18 points, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc against BSU - Steph McWilliams came off the bench for 10 points and nine boards

- USF used double-digit scoring performances from Krystal Carlson and Kaely Hummel to open the league schedule with a road win - USF, which also won their fourth straight game, defeated SMSU for an 11th straight time and moved to a 12-1 series advantage over the Mustangs - Earlier in the week Kaely Hummel had 18 points and Krystal Carlson had 11 as USF defeated Presentation College, 98-46 - USF has scored 90 points or more in three of the six games this season; the 98 points against Presentation College was the most since scoring 99 vs. Minnesota State on Jan. 23, 2016 - Head Coach Travis Traphagen, who is the all-time wins leader, recorded his 199th win at USF

- Krystal Carlson, who reached double-digits in points for a third straight game, hit 9-of-15 shots from the field and both of her free throws while grabbing four rebounds in her career-best 20-point performance against SMSU - Carlson also had 11 points and four rebounds in win over Presentation College - Kaely Hummel, who reached double digits for the 58th time in her career, was 5-of-12 from the floor, had three rebounds and recorded a steal for 12 points against SMSU - Hummel had a team-high 18 points in the win over Presentation College - Freshman Hannah Jones averaged 7.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 3.5 assists in two wins this week
