St. Cloud State selected in NSIC Wrestling Preseason Poll
BURNSVILLE, Minn. - St. Cloud State, the eight-time defending NSIC Champions, was the unanimous choice to win the league in the NSIC Preseason Wrestling Coaches' Poll. The Huskies had 64 points and all eight first place votes (coaches cannot vote for their own team) to rank 11 points ahead of Upper Iowa, which was second with 53 points. Minnesota State was third with 52 points and a first place vote while Augustana was fourth with 41 points.

Nick Baumler was voted by the league coaches as the preseason wrestler of the year. Baumler, a two-time All-American, finished third at the 2019 NCAA National Championships at 197 pounds and took seventh in 2018. Baumler completed his 2018-19 campaign with a 26-8 record.
NSIC Wrestling's non-conference schedule gets underway on Saturday, November 2 with NSIC duals starting at the end of November and continue throughout the year.
