- Batted .619 to lead the Huskies to a 3-1 record last week
- Had 13 hits in 21 at-bats, which included four doubles, one triple, 19 total bases, three runs and a .905 slugging rate
- Had eight putouts and 10 assists on defense with no errors
- He had three hits and one RBI in SCSU’s 6-0 win over BSU on April 16
- He also had three hits, two RBIs and a double in SCSU’s 4-2 win over BSU on April 16
- Continued the three-hit trend with three hits in SCSU’s 9-0 win at UMC on April 20, which also included three RBI
- Capped the week with a three-hit effort in SCSU’s 12-2 win at UMC on April 20
- He also had a triple and two RBIs in the game
- On the season, Joseph is now hitting .366 with 52 hits, 36 RBIs, 13 doubles and 28 runs scored

Barlas, Bielejeski, DeMaria, Doll, McCann, Sauce, Scott and Stevens all played four seasons for the Marauder.

- Turning in a second straight strong midweek performance, freshman RHP Daniel Turner held Minot State to two runs, three hits and a walk while striking out four in six innings of work
- Jaxon Ford has hit in eight straight games, including five multi-hit games. Last week he was 10-for-26 with two runs scored and two RBIs. He is now hitting .281/.359/.345 on the season in the leadoff slot
- Darius Barlas hit in five of six games last week, finishing 7-of-20 with four runs scored and three RBIs with three doubles and a home run. His nine homers ties Andy Leer and Tyler Liffrig’s 2010 total for the most by a UMary player since Liffrig hit 11 in 2009. For the year he is hitting .317/.393/.593
- Jesus Payan is on a tear, posting hits in 10 of his last 11 games. In six games last week he was 7-of-20 with three runs scored, six RBIs, two doubles and a home run. He is now hitting .352/.427/.536
- Andrew Brooks limited UMD to three runs in six innings striking out six in a 3-0 loss
- Alec DeMaria posted 3.2 scoreless innings of relief covering two appearances during the week, striking out five, and allowing just one hit and three walks |

- Jonathan Lund picked a good time for his first homerun of the season
- Lund pinch-hit in the top of the seventh inning on Tuesday against SMSU and hit the first pitch he saw over the left field fence to put the Golden Eagles up 2-1, which would be the final score
- Dalton Grose had to work for his league leading ninth save on Friday, but got the job done by getting the final six outs of the games to close out the upset of the Huskies
- Blaine, Minn., native Zach Rustad was outstanding in his only start of the week. In Friday’s win over the Huskies, Rustad went 7.0 innings, while giving up just three runs on five hits, while striking out five hitters. Rustad earned the win for his fifth of the season |

- The Bulldogs exploded for 22 runs (their most in eight years) and 27 hits (their most since the 2012 season) in the series opener against the Marauders on Friday
- UMD batted .374 in its six games last week. After hitting at a .227 clip during their opening 20 outings of the year, the Bulldogs are batting .324 in the 17 games since
- The Bulldogs have been outscored 49-17 in the first inning this year, but have bounced back to outscore the opposition 39-19 in the second inning |

- Sophomore outfielder Henry George and junior catcher Reid Rubio hit their first collegiate home runs in the Bulldogs 12-4 takedown of Mary on Saturday
- George boosted his team-leading batting average to .403 after going 11-19 (.579) in the weekend series with Mary. He also posted an .895 slugging percentage and a .667 on base percentage
- Junior right fielder Drew Stewart was 5-for-6 and drove in five runs in UMD’s 22-3 victory over the Marauders on Friday
- In that same game junior lefthander Rece Dietrich had another strong outing, surrendering just two earned runs and six hits in six innings of work. Dietrich paces the 2019 Bulldogs in starts (seven), innings pitch (37.0) and earned run average (2.68) |

- In last week’s NCBWA Division II national poll, SCSU was ranked #5 and the Huskies also received a #1 ranking in this week’s NCBWA Central Region poll released on April 16
- SCSU owns a .324 team batting average this season, which includes 417 hits and 304 runs scored in 38 games played. SCSU has outscored its opponents 304-119 this season
- Mitch Mallek leads SCSU with a .401 batting average this year, which includes 57 hits and nine home runs
- On the mound, Dominic Austing is 5-0 and Sheldon Miks is 7-1. Austing needs seven more strikeouts to break the SCSU career strikeout record. He currently has 60 strikeouts this season and Miks leads SCSU with 63 |
