ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Minot State baseball team opened the day with a 9-3 setback vs. No. 1 Augustana before bouncing back to win 5-2 over No. 7 Northern State to remain alive in the 2019 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Baseball Tournament in St. Cloud, Minn. on Friday

How It Happened

• Borst pushed the Beavers ahead with a solo home run in the first inning.
• Northern State grabbed a 2-1 lead on a two-run single in the top of the fourth inning.
• Pokorney tied the game in the fifth on an RBI groundout, allowing McDougall to come home.
• Following a walk to Borst, Doll blasted his third two-run homer of the NSIC Tournament to give the Beavers a 4-2 lead in the fifth.
• Trevaun Smith stretched the Minot State lead to three with an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth.
