NSIC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Julia Hammerschmidt (Hurdles, Sr., Hinrichshagen, Germany  / Alexander-von-Humboldt) - UMary

- Broke the Howard Wood Dakota Relays meet record in the 400m hurdles
- Her time of 59.63 broke the school record
- The NCAA provisional qualifying time is the 11th best mark in the country and No. 1 in the NSIC
- Ran on the Marauders 4x100m relay team that took second at the Dakota Relays with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 46.82
- Named NSIC Track Athlete of the Week for the third time this season (4/1/19 & 4/8/19)

NSIC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Emma Hertz (Throws, Jr., Sioux Falls, S.D. / O’Gorman HS) - Sioux Falls
- Won the discus and shot put at the Mustang Twilight and won the shot put at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays
- Threw a NCAA DII provisional qualifying mark in the shot put (14.75m)
- In shot put, currently ranks 11th in the nation and No. 1 in the NSIC 
- Threw a NCAA DII provisional qualifying mark of 51.57m (169-2.5) in the discus, which was a school record mark
- Currently ranks 8th in the nation and No. 1 in the NSIC in the discus

Top Performer(s)
- In the 3000m steeplechase, Courtney Hottovy and Rachel Rairdon achieved personal bests, with Hottovy running a 10:53.78 and Rairdon running an 11:29.00.
- In the 800m, Kali Ryan ran a new outdoor personal best with a third place finish in 2:14.55.
- Ashley Solano wrapped up the competition for Augustana with a personal best in the 400m hurdles and a third place finish in 1:03.90.
Team Notes
- The Viking women were highlighted by a first-place finish by the 4x100m relay of Olivia Montez Brown, Alaina Klapperich, Selin Dikmen, and Callie DeWitt. The group finished the race in 46.54 seconds which achieved an Augustana school record. The mark also ranks inside the top 30 fastest times in the country for Division II and is a provisional qualifier.

- Five of BSU’s six wins came in the field, including wins by junior Gena Baklund in the hammer throw (159-05), sophomore Cheri’A Adams in the long jump (16-03), freshman Kylie Monson in the triple jump (36-07.75), freshman Zoe Christensen in the shot put (44-00.75), and freshman Coley Rezabek in the javelin (127-10)

- Julia Hammerschmidt broke the Dakota Relays meet record and the UMary school record in the 400m hurdles (59.63). The NCAA provisional qualifying time is the 11th best mark in the country.
- Ida Narbuvoll also etched her name into the Dakota Relays record book. The senior from Narbuvoll, Norway, defeated the field in the 5000m run with an effort of 16:48.18. Her NCAA provisional qualifying time ranks her 14th nationally.
- Sophomores Abbey Zastrow and Taylor Hestekin also earned Dakota Relay wins in NCAA provo qualifying times. Zastrow captured the 400m dash (55.91). Hestekin claimed the 1500m run with a clocking of 4:32.64 in the first time she has competitively raced in the event.
- Jaiden Schuette placed second in the Dakota Relays in the 3K steeplechase (10:33.48), an NCAA provisional qualifying time that is best in the NSIC and ninth in the country.
- Evie Kammeyer posted an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 10:54.43 in the steeplechase
- The Marauders 4x100 meter relay team of Modglin, Zastrow, Hammerschmidt and Nicolyn Bown took second in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 46.82
- Ricki Lindley catapulted towards the top of the Northern Sun leaderboard when she hit her top mark of 12.27m in the triple jump, an NCAA provisional qualifying distance.

- Ranked 14th in most recent USTFCCCA national rankings
- The Marauders claimed four titles and posted one NCAA provisional qualifying mark at the DSU Last Chance Meet
- UMary set two meet records, won four titles at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays and posted seven NCAA provisional qualifying marks

- Kealy Hill tallied a personal best of 3.60m in the pole vault, tied for eighth overall
- Hannah Kastigar ran to a ninth place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:17.26
- Kailee Oliverson tallied the final top-10 finish for the Wolves taking seventh in the high jump, clearing 1.50m (4-11)

Top Performer(s)
- Chloe Peterson won the 100m dash at the Howard Wood Relays with a 12.19 clocking and led three USF athletes in the top six.
- Led by Peterson, USF set a school record in the 4x100 meter relay at the Howard Wood Relays with a clocking of 47.07. Peterson anchored with Kanya Henderson, Sarah Troescher and Mercy Oyadare also running on the squad.
- In two competitions, junior Emma Hertz won three titles, had a DII provisional mark and set a school record in the discus. At the SMSU Invite, Hertz won the discus with a provisional mark of 51.57m (169-2.5) which was a school record mark. She also won the shot put with a throw of 14.75m (48-4.75) and was fifth in the hammer throw at SMSU. Then, she captured the shot put title with a mark of 14.04m (47-4.25) at the Howard Wood Relays where she placed second discus at 49.64 meters (162-10.5).
- Clara Paul won the long jump by going 5.02 meters (16-5.75) and freshman Taylor Stoltz was victorious in the high jump at 1.55m (5-1)
- Rebecca Goertzen set a school record in the 3000m steeplechase by going 11:28.09
Team Notes
- The Cougars had strong efforts at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays and the MSU Twilight on Saturday. In total on Friday and Saturday (May 3-4), USF won two events, set two school records and had 10 individuals placed sixth or better. At the SMSU Invite, USF won four titles and finished with 63 points for second.

- Freshman Norah King finished seventh in the shot put at the Dakota Relays with a distance of 12.49m, while teammate freshman Hailey Nierling was ninth in the hammer throw at 44.40m.
- On Saturday at the MSU Twilight, freshman Tina Saulsbury Triviski placed fifth in the javelin at 31.62m, while Nierling placed seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.82m.
- Sophomore Ginny Pederson finished sixth in the triple jump (11.29m) and then finished ninth in the long jump (5.18m)
- At the Mustang Twilight last Wednesday, freshman Ashlyn Jones took home first place in both the 100m(12.43) and 200 meters (27.15)
- Sophomore Emily Gillingham ran 1:03.70 to take home first place in the 400m while junior Kayla Jansky won the 800m at 2:21.61
- Sophomore Rebecca Manteuffel placed second in the discus (50.45m) and fourth in the shot put (12.54m)
- Norah King finished fourth in the javelin (31.92m) while earning a fifth place finish in the discus (42.34m)

- Emelia Burris helped break the school record as the anchor of the 4x100 meter relay team and won long jump with a mark of 5.78m
- Claire Shea won the high jump with a PR mark of 1.64m, which is tied for first on the NSIC Performance list
- Chrissy Lofgren won the 3000m steeplechase for the second straight week with a time of 11:51.03

- The relay team of Bridget Brown, Emma Baynes, Maya Taylor and Emelia Burris broke the program record in the 4x100 meter relay, as they finished in second place in the event with a time of 47.41

- Cassiddy Wilson placed 2nd in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.16 and was part of the 4 x 400 team that placed second with Breyanna Hill, Jenna Ross and Kenzie Soeken in 4:01.40 
- Soeken placed 3rd and broke the UIU record for the long jump with a mark of 5.37m
