NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#12 Cassie Askvig (F, 6-2, Sr., Minot, N.D. / Minot HS) - UMary
- Averaged 34 points and 5.5 rebounds against UMD and SCSU
- Scored a career high 36 points in a 76-67 win over UMD
- Added six rebounds and a pair of assists and steals
- Recorded 32 points and five rebounds against SCSU
- Knocked down 62.8 percent of her shots from the field (27-43)
- Hit 92.8 percent from the free throw line (13-14) over the weekend
NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#12 Kaely Hummel (G, 5-8, Sr., Cherokee, Iowa / Cherokee Washington HS) - Sioux Falls
- Averaged 23 points and 6.5 rebounds in wins over MSU and CSP
- Set a career-high in threes (7-for-9) in a 91-68 win against Minnesota State
- Set a career-high in rebounds with nine in a 74-68 win against Concordia-St. Paul
- Shot 57.1 percent from three, as well as a perfect 14-for-14 from the charity stripe
- Recorded three assists and two steals

#30 Peyton Boom (MSUM) averaged 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in Dragons’ road wins over Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston; Had career-high 20 points and added career-high 11 rebounds for second career double-double in 63-56 win over Bemidji State; Had 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting in win over Minnesota Crookston; Shot 53.3 percent from the field for the week.
#5 Lexi Wadsworth (NSU) tallied 12 rebounds on the weekend and 4 assists. She recorded 38 points on the weekend as well shooting 68.4% from the floor, 72.7% at the foul line and 60% from beyond the arc.
#10 Brehna Evans (SCSU) averaged a team-leading 17.5 points per game while shooting .700 (14-20) from the floor, 3-5 from beyond the arc (.600) and 4-5 (.800) from the free throw line; Added three rebounds, seven assists and five steals; Scored a career-high 22 points in a thrilling 80-65 win over UMary on 8-10 (.800) shooting (2-3 from three-point range; 4-5 from free throw line); Tallied 13 points in a 69-45 win over Minot State.
Other Top South Performances
#14 Abby Hora (AUGIE) averaged 11 points and 6.5 rebounds; Scored 11 points in a 69-50 win over Upper Iowa and 11 points in a 68-51 win over Winona State; Dished a season-best five assists at WSU.
#1 Meleah Reinhart (SMSU) led the team in both games and helped the Mustangs with 18 points to a victory over Minnesota State. Reinhart finished with 18 points over MSU and went 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
