NSIC Player of the Week
#9 Andrew Hanson (INF, 6-1, 180, Jr., R/R, Burnsville, Minn. / Burnsville HS)
Wayne State
- Batted .421 with eight hits in 19 at bats as WSC opened season in Cleburne, Texas on Jan. 31 - Feb. 2
- Had a .737 slugging percentage as he had four doubles and a triple
- Spread out five RBI including two against Oklahoma Panhandle
- Started out the year going 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in a 8-6 win over Newman
- Added three stolen bases and had 20 putouts playing on the right side of the infield

NSIC Pitcher of the Week
#20 Tanner Brown (LHP, 6-2, 190, Jr., L/L, Sioux Falls, S.D. / Harrisburg HS)
Augustana
- Earned the win on the mound for the Vikings in game two of their series with No. 21 ranked Arkansas Monticello
- Went five shutout innings, giving up only two hits and striking out five
- Held opposing batters to a .118 average 
- Walked only two and did not allow an extra base hit to the 17 batters he faced

Other Top Performances - Player
#1 Jordan Barth (AUGIE) hit safely in all four games of a weekend split with No. 21 ranked Arkansas Monticello. The junior went 6-for-14 with two runs scored, two doubles and one hit by pitch. He also played an errorless first base with 29 putouts and three assists. His average sits at .429 on the young season
#25 Calvin James (UMary) batted .387 with 12 hits in 31 at bats over the opening two weekends of play for UMary; had three home runs to go with five RBI and a .677 slugging percentage
#33 Sam Kohnle (WSU) batted .500 (7-for-14) with two doubles and five RBI over a 2-1 opening weekend against Pittsburg State
 
Other Top Performances - Pitcher
#24 Austin Wienhoff (WSC) started the season 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA after going five innings giving up one run on six hits with four strikeouts in a 10-4 win over Southern Nazarene.
#24 Aaron Mutter (WSU) recorded the opening day win as he allowed just three hits over 5.0 innings while striking out six batters.
