NSIC Player of the Week
#17 Cassie Querry (C, 5-7, Jr., Cassville, Pa./ Southern Huntingdon HS) - Minnesota Crookston

- Went 8-of-13 with a .615 batting average as UMC went 2-2 in Minot, N.D.
- Scored four runs, had three doubles and had 10 RBI in four games

- Hit home runs against UMary and Montana State Billings
- Went 4-of-4 in a win over UMary on Saturday


NSIC Pitcher of the Week
#4 Meghan Anderson (RHP, Fr., R/R, Verona, Wis. / Verona Area HS) - Northern State

- Went 3-0 on the weekend, posting a 0.82 ERA through 17.0 innings pitched
- Tallied 17 strikeouts, notching six versus UMary and Minnesota Crookston
- Gave up just two earned runs on 12 hits with a .185 opponent batting average
- Dropped her season ERA below 1.00.

Other Top Performances - Players
#18 Torey Richards (MSU) hit .500 from the plate, scoring four runs and two RBI helping to lead the Mavericks to a 3-2 record in the Emporia State Softball Classic.
#18 Taylor Koehnen (UMD) batted a team-high .538 (7-for-13) in five games at the Emporia State 5-State Classic; Turned in a .923 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage; Had a pair of multi-hit games (including a 3-for-4 effort against Emporia State); Belted her first home run of the season in a 10-2 win over Washburn on Saturday; Scored five of the Bulldogs’ 29 runs on the weekend; Made just one error in 34 fielding chances.
#23 Rachel Reinke (NSU)
led Northern State hitting .533 in four wins over the weekend; Went 8-for-15 with four extra base hits (two doubles, triple, homerun); Tallied five RBI and added three stolen bases; Hit a weekend best .750 versus Minot State, notching the game winning homerun in the top of the ninth; Recorded five putouts without giving up an error.
#8 Ashley Hernandez (WSC) went 6-10 in three games at 5-State Classic in Kansas, helping WSC to 2-1 record; had two multi-hit games; was 3 for 4 with a double and three runs scored in 6-5 win over Northwest Missouri State Friday; went 2 for 3 with a game-tying two-run homer plus a double, two RBI and two runs scored in 4-3 win vs. Missouri Western; has a team-high seven game hit streak currently.
 
Other Top Performances - Pitcher
#17 Mackenzie Ward (MSU)
went 2-2 in four games, pitching 20 1/3 innings, striking out 27 batters.
#11 Mady Stariha (UMD) posted a 0.55 ERA and went 2-0 in two appearances at the Emporia State 5-State Classic last weekend; pitched a five-hit, complete game shutout (2-0) against Missouri Southern in UMD’s tourney finale; Saturday against Missouri Western  pitched 5 2/3 innings in relief (scattering eight hits) to pick up the win.
#13 Sydney Nieveen (USF)  was 1-0 in two appearances and had a 0.70 ERA. She threw 12.2 innings and allowed 12 hits and one earned run with five strikeouts and a walk. She made a relief appearance against Emporia State (7-2 loss) and allowed just two hits and a run with a strikeout in 5 2/3 innings. In a 2-0 win over Washburn, she threw a complete game and registered her first shutout. In 7 innings, she allowed 10 hits but no runs or walks and had four strikeouts.
