Other Top Track Performances
Nicolette Schmidt (AUGIE) took home the victory in the 5,000m in 17:46.88 in her 2021 season debut at the Jim Emmerich Invite at SDSU. The time currently leads the NSIC in the event.
Ryne Prigge (BSU) won the 800m with the NSIC’s best time of the season at 2:19.84. That time ranks 12th nationally and fifth all-time at BSU. She was also part of 4x400m relay that took second with the NSIC’s fourth-best time of 4:06.06.
Bonet Henderson (UMary) broke the 60 meter dash University of Mary Fieldhouse & Wellness Center facility record for the second straight week. She posted a time of 7.70 seconds to win the Marauders Invite. She dropped her time by .03 seconds from the previous week and ranks 10th in the nation.
Robynn Curry (MSUM) won two events at the Marauder Invite. She won the 200 meters in 26.14 and the 400 meters in 1:00.20.
Shanice Burrell (NSU) tallied a third place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.82. She is .03 seconds off the provisional standard and currently ranks fourth nationally in the event.
Emelia Burris (SCSU) led St. Cloud State to a first place finish as a team at the Craig Hougen Triangular, hosted by Bemidji State with top performances in two different events. She ran the fastest time of the day in the 60m dash, qualifying for finals with a time of 7.78 (did not race in finals). Won the long jump with a leap of 5.59 meters which ranks No. 12 in the nation and fourth in the NSIC.
Other Top Field Performances
Zoe Christensen (BSU) won the shot put with the NSIC’s third-best and NCAA’s eighth-best throw of the season at 46-09. Her shot put mark is an NCAA Provisional Qualifier. She won the weight throw with the NSIC’s seventh-best throw of the season at 53-07.5.
D’Andra Morris (UMary) won the triple jump at the Marauders Invite with an NCAA provisional-qualifying mark of 11.89 meters. She placed second (tied for 1st in height) in the high jump at 1.65 meters to rank 17th in nation and 4th in NSIC. She is one of three Marauders who posted an NCAA provo mark in the triple jump on Saturday (Cali Modglin, Arianna Passeri). She ranks fourth in NCAA D2 and first in the NSIC on the season with an effort of 11.99 on the opening weekend.
Mariah Williams (MSU) finished first in the Chuck Petersen Dual with a top jump of 19-1.25 (5.82m) which is a provisional qualifying mark and currently ranks third in the nation.
Rachel Schumacher (MSUM) won high jump at Marauder Invite with a leap of 5-5. That jump is tied for fourth best in NSIC this season.
Tava Berg (NSU) broke her own school record in the high jump, clearing 1.73m at the Jim Emmerich Invite to place second in the event. She currently ranks second in the NSIC and fourth in the nation in the high jump.
Emma Hertz (USF), at the Dakota Realty Invite at USD, she won the shot put with USF’s second-best ever indoor shot put throw of 49-5.75. (15.08m), which ranks fourth in DII. She already has the No. 2 national throw of 49-10.50/15.20m. She also unleashed a personal-best in the weight throw of 59-05.75 (18.13m) to place third. That throw ranks second all-time at USF while ranking 11th nationally (2nd in NSIC).
Mckenzie Scheil (WSC) had a NCAA provisional mark in the weight throw at USD Dakota Realty Invite. She placed second with mark off 60-4 and now ranks eighth in NCAA Division II.
Kalley Harris (WSU) ran a 57.84 (57.09 converted time) at the Craig Hougen Tri, which ranks first in the NSIC and fourth fastest in Division II this season.
