It marked one of four wins over a Northern State program that has started the season 3-0 and was receiving votes in the latest DII National Poll.

Kolton Roth (NSU) earned his third victory of the season versus Minot State - Pinned Lincoln Stormer at 4:21 in the match - Prior to the pin, Roth led the match 16-6 - Jumped into the NWCA individual rankings at No. 10.

Jacob Dykes (SMSU) earned one of the two bouts SMSU won on Friday against University of Wisconsin Parkside. This is Dykes second NSIC bout win on the season.

Chase Luensman (UIU) improved to 3-0 on the season and scored his second bonus-point victory with an 11-3 major decision over Cooper Siebrecht - Luensman scored four takedowns and a pair of nearfall points on the way to the big win that pulled UIU within three points heading into the final bout of their dual with Minnesota State - The sophomore is currently ranked No. 6 in the latest NWCA Division II Poll and has earned his three wins this season by tech fall, major decision and decision.
