NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#4 Jenny Vetter (F, 5-4, Jr., Mankato, Minn. / Mankato East HS) - Minnesota State
- Scored three goals and added an assist for seven points in a pair of wins
- Scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory versus St. Cloud State
- Added two goals, including the game winner in MSU’s 5-1 win over Minnesota Duluth
- Now has a career total to 18 game winning goals (tied for second at MSU)
- Took eight shots over the weekend and landed five of them on goal
- Named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row

#28 Lilja Davidsdottir (MF/D, 5-7, Sr., Reykjavik, Iceland / Verzlunarskoli Islands) - Northern State
- Played a total of 198 minutes and led the Northern State defense to a pair of shutouts
- Held USF and SMSU to just 11 combined shots on goal over the weekend
- Added one shot attempt in Sunday’s 2-0 win against SMSU
- Has been a key factor on the NSU defense that has recorded three consecutive shutouts
- NSU has not allowed a goal in 326:24 minutes of action dating back to October 8

#0 Alexis Wemhoff (GK, 5-11, Gr., Columbus, Neb. / Columbus HS) - Sioux Falls
- Helped USF to a 1-0-1 record this weekend at home
- In recording back-to-back shutouts, the senior recorded 18 saves
- Recorded 10 saves in 110 minutes in a scoreless tie with Northern State
- Had eight saves in a 1-0 win over MSUM

OFFENSE
#36 Alexis Legg (AUGIE) tallied a trio of points on the weekend as the Vikings took down what were the top two teams in the conference entering the weekend. She recorded a goal in the win against then-unbeaten Minot State. She recorded a beautiful assist on the game’s first goal against UMary. She totaled five shots on the weekend placing two on frame.
#16 Mason Schilling (BSU) netted a career-best four points to lead the No. 11 Beavers to a 4-2 victory at Upper Iowa and extended the team’s unbeaten streak to 16 matches. She had a hand in three of the Beavers’ five goals on the weekend and 3-of-4 in the victory. She netted her second collegiate goal to open the game before setting up a pair of Sara Wendt goals, including the eventual game-winning goal. She finished the weekend with a team-best eight shots and put three on net (.375).
#24 Megan Fastenau (NSU) scored the game winning goal in Northern State’s match against Southwest Minnesota State. Over the weekend she totaled 4 shots, 4 shots-on-goal, and 1 goal.
#22 Haley Ramberg (UIU) scored the first and last goals of the match in UIU’s 3-0 shutout win over Minnesota Crookston. She led the match with a career-high six shots, putting two shots on goal in her 87 minutes of action.
#4 Abigail Williams (WSU) netted two goals, including the game winner in a 6-0 shutout over Minnesota Crookston on Sunday. Williams also assisted on the Warrior’s third goal of the match. She tallied five points vs. Minnesota Crookston, a team high mark this season. She led the Warriors to their largest margin of victory since 2008. She also logged 31 minutes against #11 BSU, a 1-1 2OT draw.
DEFENSE
#32 Mackenzie Ternes (AUGIE) made a pair of starts for AU as it defeated the top two teams in the NSIC entering the weekend. She tallied an assist in the win over UMary and totaled 137 minutes of game action over the two contests. Augustana shutout then-unbeaten Minot State.
#24 Natalie Thoen (MSU) played 80 minutes in the Mavericks’ 1-0 regulation victory over St. Cloud State, marking the Mavericks’ sixth consecutive shutout, last Friday. She scored one goal over the weekend in MSU’s 5-1 victory over Minnesota Duluth, Sunday. She played a total of 136 minutes in the two contests.
#24 Jordan Tenpas (MINOT) led the defense playing all 200 minutes over the weekend, helping the Beavers record their 7th shutout as a team in a 0-0 tie at Wayne State.
#2 Leah Willenbring (UIU) recorded an assist for the UIU offense and contributed to a Peacock defense that recorded their fourth shutout of the season against Minnesota Crookston. She dished out her team-leading fourth assist of the season as UIU became the first team to score multiple goals in regulation against Bemidji State this year. She has played full time for the Peacock defense in each Upper Iowa contest this season.
#31 Katie Timmons (WSU) played the entire 110 minutes at outside back in a draw with No. 11 Bemidji State. She logged nearly 60 minutes in a 6-0 shutout over Minnesota Crookston to help WSU to it’s highest shutout margin of victory since a 2008 10-0 win.
GOALKEEPER
#1 Jillian Barkus (AUGIE) owned a 0.64 GAA while capturing victories over what were the top two teams in the NSIC entering the weekend ... shutout then undefeated Minot State with 8 saves ... stepped aside at the beginning of the contest with UMary to allow a senior to start on Senior Day, came in during the second half to make a pair of saves and help AU win in overtime ... her save percentage for the weekend was .909.
#1 Alyssa Stumbaugh (BSU) went 1-0-1 during an NSIC weekend on the road. She posted three saves in a 110-minute overtime 1-1 tie at Winona State Friday before a five-save 4-2 victory at Upper Iowa. Finished the weekend with a 1-0-1 record 1.35 goals against average and .727 save percentage. The weekend extended the team’s unbeaten streak to 16 matches.
#0 Mackenzie Rath (MSU) earned fifth career clean sheet with a four-save showing in the Mavericks’ 1-0 win over St. Cloud State which upped her record to 5-1-1 this season. Friday’s clean-sheet victory also marked the Mavericks’ sixth straight shutout and eighth of the season. Made a total of four saves over the weekend while competing in one match (MSU’s 1-0 victory over SCSU on Friday).
#1 Maddie Kindred (MINOT) recorded her seventh shutout of the season in a 0-0 tie at Wayne State. She is two shy of tying the single-seasons school record.
#00 Alexus Townsend (NSU) recorded two shutouts over the weekend against Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State, totaling 11 saves in the matches. She is currently on a streak of three consecutive shutouts, and has not allowed a goal in 326:24 minutes of action dating back to October 8.
Katherine Hageman (WSC) had 1-0-1 record against two of top three teams in NSIC standings with 0.45 goals against average...made four saves allowing just one goal in Friday’s 2-1 win over UMary...faced 17 shots and made eight saves in Sunday’s 0-0 double OT tie vs. Minot State...for the weekend, had 12 saves and .923 save percentage playing 200 minutes.
#1 Yanel Ortiz (WSU) was the difference in a 1-1 2OT draw against #11 Bemidji State on Friday and backstopped a 6-0 shutout against Minnesota Crookston on Sunday, leading WSU to an unbeaten NSIC weekend. Made eight total saves in the 1-1 draw vs. BSU, including two saves in the second OT. She had five saves in a 6-0 shutout over Minnesota Crookston. She earned her second shutout of the season and ninth of her career.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders.
