NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#18 Maggie Brahmer (MH, 6-0, R-Fr., Pierce, Neb. / Pierce HS) - Wayne State
- Averaged 3.83 kills and 1.17 blocks per set in road sweeps at UMary and Minot State
- Hit an NSIC weekend best .786 (23K-1E-28TA)
- Had 13 kills with five blocks in a 3-0 win at UMary
- Was a perfect 10-for-10 on swings with two blocks in Saturday’s 3-0 sweep at Minot State
NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#7 Tori Hanson (L, 5-8, Sr., Delano, Minn. / Delano HS) - Concordia-St. Paul
- Led CSP with 45 digs (5.00 per set) in wins at #16 SCSU and #22 UMD
- Picked up a season-high 23 digs on Friday at SCSU
- Added 22 digs on Saturday at UMD
- Added eight assists and two service aces on the weekend
- Ranks eighth in the NSIC with 4.02 digs per set and 17th with 0.31 aces per set
NSIC Setter of the Week
#5 Krista Goerger (S, 5-11, Sr., Mankato, Minn. / West HS) - Sioux Falls
- Averaged an NSIC weekend best 12.00 assist per set in wins at NSU & MSUM
- Added three service aces and a pair of double doubles
- Recorded 47 assists, a service ace and 12 digs against NSU
- Added 49 assists, two aces and 11 digs with three blocks in the win against MSUM
- Now has 2,968 assists in her career
- Named NSIC Setter of the Week for the second time this season (9/20/21)
Other Top Performances
OFFENSE
#3 Maddy Guetter (AUGIE) led the Vikings in kills over the two wins coming against Minot and UMary. Guetter had 21 kills over the six sets for an average of 3.50 kills per set. She also led the team in digs with 23, and garnered a double-double in the win against Minot having 10 kills and 14 digs.
#14 Amanda Carlson (MSUM) had 29 kills in two matches as she averaged 4.14 kills per set to lead team. She had 12 kills in a loss to No. 6 SMSU and had 17 kills in a four-set loss to Sioux Falls.
#9 Averey Yaksich (USF) had a pair of double doubles and averaged 4.13 kills per set with a .268 hitting mark and nine blocks, to help Sioux Falls to wins over (RV) Northern State, 3-1, and MSU Moorhead, 3-1. In a win over NSU she had 13 kills on 38 attacks with five block assists and a season-best 20 digs and 15.5 points. Then in the MSUM win, she had 20 kills on 44 attacks for a .341 hitting mark to go with two service aces and 10 digs. Yaksich leads the NSIC and ranks fourth in DII with 243 kills and she is second in the league in kills per set at 4.26. For the fourth time this year, Yaksich had 20 kills in a match and now has 762 in her career (6th all-time at USF).
#1 Kaitlin Niedert (UIU) led the Peacocks on offense to a pair of wins at Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston with 26 kills for a 4.33 kills/set average and hit .440 with only 4 errors on the weekend.
#8 Megan Flom (WSU) led Winona State to a 2-0 weekend with wins at Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. The 14-1 overall mark is the best record over the first 15 matches in program history. Flom hit .636 with 22 kills in 33 total attacks. She had a .909 service percentage and averaged an NSIC weekend best 4.40 kills per set.
DEFENSE
#2 Erika Bute (AUGIE) averaged 3.50 digs per set helping the Vikings sweep Minot State and UMary last weekend. Bute is currently leading the Vikings in total digs and digs per set.
#15 Lexi Boesl (NSU) led the Northern State defense versus Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State averaging 4.44 digs per set. She tallied 40 total digs, including a career high 30 against the Mustangs. She averaged 7.00 digs per set against SMSU and added two assists and one ace.
#8 Emma VanHeel (SMSU) recorded 11 blocks in two games to help the Mustangs go 1-1 over the weekend. She tied her career-high of seven blocks in a five set match against Northern State.
#8 Madelyn Rettler (UIU) posted 21 digs (3.5/set) and added 2 blocks and 12 kills in her six sets to lead UIU defensively two a pair of wins at Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston.
#10 Becca Pagel (WSU) had 34 total digs in two 3-0 sweeps of NSIC opponents. She averaged 5.67 digs/set and registered a .842 reception percentage.
SETTER
#2 Bre Maloney (WSU) had 50 assists, good for a 10.0 assist per set average in two wins. She added 10 kills to the Warrior attack and picked up 17 digs.
