NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#8 Kenzie Foley (OH, 6-1, So., Sergeant Bluff, Iowa / Sergeant Bluff-Luton HS) - St. Cloud State
- Averaged 4.88 kills and 3.88 digs per set in wins against No. 15 Wayne State and Augustan
- Tallied 39 total kills while hitting .372 from the outside
- Added 27 digs, two aces, nine blocks (1.13 per set) for 46.0 points
- Hit .444 against WSC with 19 kills and added nine digs, two aces and three block assists
- Broke the program record for first year kills with her 19 kill performance against Wayne State
- Now has 378 total kills in her first season with the Huskies
- Added 20 kills and a team-leading 18 digs in the 3-1 win over Augustana
- Hit .310 with six total blocks (1 solo, five assists)
- Closes the regular season with four 20+ kill performances
- Named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season

#10 Becca Pagel (L, 5-5, Gr., Sumner, Iowa / Sumner-Fredricksburg HS) - Winona State
- Racked up 37 digs in two road wins for a 5.29 dig per set average
- Had a .955 reception percentage
- Also notched 3 aces for the weekend
- Named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season
NSIC Setter of the Week
#14 Maddy Torve (S, 5-11, R-Sr., Loretto, Minn. / Heritage Christian Academy) -St. Cloud State
- Averaged 12.50 assists per set in wins over No. 15 Wayne State and Augustana
- Piloted the Huskies to a .247 team hitting percentage
- Recorded a double-double against WSC with 48 assists and 10 digs
- Became the first SCSU setter to eclipse 4000 career assists since 2000 in the win
- Added 52 assists in the 3-1 win over Augustana with eight digs and three blocks
- Named NSIC Setter of the Week for fifth time this season
Other Top Performances
OFFENSE
#3 Maddy Guetter (AUGIE) led the Vikings in kills in a weekend split against Minnesota Duluth and No. 11 St. Cloud State. She had a total of 30 kills for 3.75 per set. Guetter also averaged 3.38 digs per set.
#8 Jasmine Mulvihill (CSP) led the team with 31 kills (4.43 per set) in the team’s two wins over the weekend. She hit .317 on her 60 attempts and chipped in 17 digs (2.43 per set), three blocks (0.43 per set) and three aces (0.43 per set). She matched her season best with 22 kills in Friday’s win while also collecting 11 digs for her eighth double-double of the year. She was named All-NSIC First Team on Thursday.
#11 Olivia Rud (NSU) recorded ten kills and 12 total blocks last weekend in a win over Upper Iowa and loss to Winona State. She averaged 1.43 kills per set and 1.71 blocks per set. She set a season high of nine total blocks in the win over UIU.
#9 Averey Yaksich (USF) helped lead USF to a pair of weekend home sweeps over the weekend by averaging 4.17 kills per set on 25 kills with a .271 hitting mark. She added 14 digs, five total blocks, two solos and 28.5 points. She finished the season as a the league leader in kills with 442 (20 more than 2nd place), and avg. 4.46 overall with a 4.70/kills/set in league play. Plus she was first in points with 503.5 or 5.09/set. She set a school record for kills, kills/set, points, points/set, kills in a five set match with 30 and kills in three sets with 22 while rolling up 950 career kills.
#11 Kelsie Cada (WSC) averaged 3.57 kills and 4.14 digs per set in home matches vs. #11 St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth. She had eighth double-double of the year with 16 kills and 14 digs with two solo blocks vs. SCSU Friday. She added 15 digs, nine kills and three blocks in 3-0 sweep over Minnesota Duluth.
#8 Megan Flom (WSU) continued her tremendous season in leading Winona State to a 2-0 weekend on the road in their last regular season matches of the year. She racked up 28 kills in two wins, a 3-1 victory over Northern State and a 3-0 win over MSU Moorhead. She had a .491 hitting % across seven sets and committed only two errors in 53 attacks, She also registered seven total blocks and an ace.
DEFENSE
#2 Erika Bute (AUGIE) led the Vikings in digs in a weekend split against Minnesota Duluth(3-1) and No. 11 St. Cloud State (3-1). She had a total of 35 digs on the weekend and 4.38 digs per set.
#19 Brooke Walthall (MSUM) averaged 5.6 digs per set for the week. She recorded a career-high 22 digs in three-set loss to No. 8 Winona State. She added 17 digs in four-set loss to Upper Iowa.
#3 Havyn Heinz (NSU) led Northern State with 34 digs last weekend, averaging 4.86 digs per set after a win over Upper Iowa and loss to Winona State. She tallied 24 digs against WSU, and also added two assists in the match against UIU.
#12 Phebie Rossi (SCSU) led the Huskies to a 2-0 weekend by averaging 1.88 blocks per set. She tallied 15 (2 solo, 13 assists) total blocks against #15 Wayne State and Augustana, including 12 (1 solo, 11 assists) in a 3-1 win over the Vikings. She recorded 20 total kills on 50 swings.
#7 Charisma Herr (UIU) put her hands on 44 digs in UIU’s two matches over the weekend. The senior libero averaged 6.29 digs/set including an insane 36 digs in four sets (9/set average) as UIU defeated MSU Moorhead to claim their fourth-straight berth into the NSIC Championships. Herr added 9 assists and 5 aces.
SETTER
#14 Sophia Peterson (MINOT) finished her playing career averaging 19 assists per match in her final two home matches, including dishing out 23 assists on Senior Night.
#20 Keri Walker (NSU) led Northern State with 61 total assists on the weekend, averaging 8.71 assists per set in the Wolves win over Upper Iowa and loss to Winona State. She also added 13 digs, 8 blocks, and 5 kills in matches.
#5 Krista Goerger (USF) led the Cougars (17-11, 12-8) to its third best season at the DII level with two home sweeps this weekend. She averaged 11.33 set assists while registering four service aces, nine digs and four block assists. With the 68 assists, she now 1,056 on the season, a total that is third all-time for a season at USF. She is the only player in school history with consecutive or two 1,000 assist seasons as her 1,057 in 2018 is second all-time. However, with 10.67 assists per set she broke her own record of 10.37 in 2019. She also had 10.36 assists/sets in 2018 as she finishes with the three top marks for a year in school history and finished with a career total of 3,452 and another school mark. Goerger also finished with USF’s record of 126 career service aces.
#2 Bre Maloney (WSU) was a key part of the Warrior offense that extended their winning streak to nine matches with a pair of NSIC wins on the road. She dished out 85 assists in seven sets of play and had a 12.14 assist/per average for the weekend. She also had 26 digs, second most on the team for the week. She contributed four kills to the WSU offense.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders.
