Super Region V Rankings (2/3/21)

NSIC Wrestler of the Week Other Top Performances
Kolby Kost (AUGIE) defeated Upper Iowa’s No. 8-ranked Dalton Hahn with a 12-1 major decision victory that featured four takedowns, two near fall points, an escape and a riding time point. 

Trevor Turriff (MSU) ranked third in the nation, upped his record to 5-0 with a 7-5 decision over #11 Max Bruss (UMary) last Thursday. He helped lead the Mavericks to 26-10 win over the visiting Marauders.

Cole Jones (MSUM) improved to 2-1 on the year with 13-3 major decision win over Minot’s Oscar Nellis. He scored eight points in third period alone to break a 3-3 tie. He is ranked No. 12 in nation at 125 pounds. 

Lincoln Stormer (MINOT) scored a 7-6 win by decision over Mason Schulz. Schulz was previously ranked in the top 12 in the country. Stormer improved to 3-2 on the season with the victory and clinched his second-consecutive win.

Kolton Roth (NSU) recorded the only bonus point victory for the Wolves in their dual win at SMSU. He pinned Justin Sampson at 3:55 in the match. Prior to the pin, Roth led 9-2. He is currently ranked tenth in the nation with a 4-0 record, including three bonus point victories.

Jackson Ryan (SMSU) moved to 4-0 on the season with a 4-2 win at 197 pounds in SMSU’s 18-16 loss to Northern State. The victory was the 77^th in his career ranking 17^th in team history. Ryan is ranked No. 2 in the latest Super Region V rankings.

Kameron Teacher (SCSU) helped No. 1 St. Cloud State to a 26-9 win over No. 25 Parkside. He earned a major decision 8-0 win without surrendering a point to Nate Lloyd. Teacher leads the Huskies with a 4-0 record while earning a team-leading 17 points. He is ranked the No. 1 heavyweight in the nation in the NCWA’s most recent Division II poll.

Scott Kellenberger (UIU) used an underhook and bulled his way into a takedown and pin of Augustana’s Dylan Schuck just 1:39 into the match. The fall gave Upper Iowa three bonus-points and proved to be the difference in the dual.  Kellenberger improved to 2-3 on the season with the victory.
