NSIC Player of the Week
#20 Kendall Cornick (OF, 5-8, Sr., L/R, Mason City, Iowa / Mason City HS) - Augustana

- Tallied a .429 batting average as the Vikings went 4-2 to open the season
- Totaled three home runs, seven runs scored and nine RBI, all team highs, over the six games
- In the Vikings win over St. Mary’s, she set a school record with seven RBI in a single game
- The seven RBI came off two home runs and two doubles 
- Helped the Vikings top No. 7 Texas A&M - Commerce and No. 4 UT Tyler with a run scored in each contest 

NSIC Pitcher of the Week
#16 Alissa Alvarado (RHP, 5-3, Fr., Montebello, Calif. / Schurr HS) - University of Mary

- Pitched 7.0 innings of one run ball against the University of Central Missouri in the Marauders 4-1 victory
- Struck out seven batters and did not surrender a hit until the bottom of the 5th inning
- Her innings pitched and strikeouts were career highs 

Other Top Performances - Players
Elyse Cuttic (NSU) led Northern State hitting .500 versus Missouri S&T, Missouri Southern, and Missouri Western. She tallied ten total hits, including a double and homerun. She added eight RBI and recorded a .700 slugging percentage. She notched a hit in five of the six games and went 3-for-4 in two contests and added two wins in the circle with a 2.10 ERA and 27 strikeouts.

Lileya Kebos (SMSU) helped SMSU earn a sweep over Minot State on Friday night in St. Cloud, batting .500 (4 for 8) with three doubles, including a walk-off three-run double in the bottom of the seventh in game two. She finished the doubleheader with three RBI, one run scored and one stolen base. She was 2 for 4 with two doubles and a run scored in game one and was 2 for 4 in game two. For the season, Kebos is batting .538 in eight games with six doubles, three triples and a team-high 26 total bases.

Damaris Cuevas (USF) started four straight games to end the Washburn Invitational for USF and had a .583 average with seven hits in 12 trips to the plate. She had a pair of doubles and accumulated a .615 on-base percentage and .750 slugging mark. She had hits in every game with two multi-hit games which included three hits in four at bats in her debut against Pitt State on Feb. 27.

Brooke Bowlin (SCSU) led the Huskies to a nonconference sweep of Minot State by going 5-for-6 at the plate with one run, one RBI, one walks, two stolen bases and a triple. She went 2-3 at the plate in game one with two stolen bases, a walk and a run in St. Cloud State’s 4-3, 10 inning win. She went 3-for-3 in game two with one RBI and a triple. She is currently hitting .455 this season with 10 hits in 22 at bats.

Katie Crogan (UIU) hit .500 (7-14) over 5 games on the weekend. She crushed 3 homers, notched three doubles 2B, and collected 6 RBI. Crogan’s offense output helped Upper Iowa finish the weekend with a 3-2 record as part of the Drury Invitational. 

Other Top Performances - Pitcher
Ashley Mickschl (AUGIE)
pitched in three of the Vikings’ games this past weekend, tallying two wins with a 2.53 ERA. All three contests were complete games for Mickschl where she struck out 12. She was in the circle for the Vikings win over No. 4 UT Tyler, where she pitched seven innings and struck out three.

Lauren Kirchberg (SCSU)  went 1-0 in the circle, earning an extra-inning relief win in St. Cloud State's nonconference sweep of Minot State. She pitched 6.1 innings of relief in game one (10 innings), surrendering one earned run on seven hits with six strikeouts. She earned the save in the Huskies 7-4 game two win with one strikeout as she improved to 3-0 on the season with a .38 ERA.

Abby McKay (UIU) picked up a complete game win over UIS as she recorded 7 Ks and allowed only 4 runs to give UIU its first win of the season. Finished with 9 Ks in the contest against William Jewell and picked up another CG win for the Peacocks the next day, allowing only 2 runs. Finished the weekend with a 2-1 record as the starter and 18 Ks.
