NSIC Women's Golfer of the Week
Maggie Veenendall (So., New Richmond, Wis. / New Richmond HS) - Sioux Falls
- Tied for seventh at the
Central Region Preview in Springfield, Missouri
- Shot rounds of 79 and 74 to finish at 153, 9-over-par
- In her second-best career performance she earned her third career top-10 performance
- Finished with 20 pars and four birdies during the two rounds
- Moved up 21 spots from day one to help USF finish seventh in the 16 team field
Other Top Performances
Molly Stevens (AUGIE) helped lead the Vikings to a second-place team finish with her second-place finish as an individual at the
WSC Invitational. Stevens golfed a two-day score of 155 and parred the course on day one with a 72 which was also the lowest round shot by a Viking this year. Augustana's and Stevens' finishes were the highest in the NSIC at the event.
Kaleigh Carmichael (UMary) tied for fourth at the
Hardrocker Invite in Rapid City, South Dakota. She shot rounds of 89 and 82 to finish at 171, 29-over-par.
Hannah Kohls (SMSU) captured medalist honors at the two-day, 36-hole,
Mustang/Maverick Dual last Thursday and Friday in rainy and cool conditions. Kohls tied for the lowest round on Thursday shooting a 3-over 75 at the Marshall Golf Club and then carded a 7-over-par 78 on Friday, the lone sub 80 round of the day, at the Mankato Golf Club. She finished the dual shooting a 10-over 153 and won the individual title by five shots over two Minnesota State players. Kohls ranks fourth in team history with an 82.4 stroke average in 56 career round.
