NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#12 Phebie Rossi (MB, 6-2, Jr., Rapid City, S.D. / Stevens HS) - St. Cloud State

- Led the Huskies to a 3-0 week in NSIC play by hitting .526 from the middle
- Recorded 32 kills with just two errors on 57 attempts during the week
- Added nine blocks (three solo, six assists) to average 0.75 blocks per set
- Hit a season-high .611 in a 3-1 win over BSU with 11 kills on 18 attempts and zero errors
- Recorded a season-high 14 kills in a five set win over Sioux Falls 
- Committed just one hitting error on 28 attempts for a .464 hitting percentage vs. USF
- Hit .545 in a 3-0 sweep of No. 5 SMSU with seven kills and one error on 11 attempts
- Reigning NSIC Defensive Player of the Week (9/20/21)

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#13 Taya Beller (RS, 6-2, R-Fr., Lindsay, Neb. / Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family HS) - Wayne State

- Averaged 1.89 blocks per set helping WSC to three sweeps
- Had week-high seven blocks, helping WSC to season-high 12 blocks in sweep over BSU
- Averaged 2.33 kills per set with .386 attack percentage
- Added seven kills and six blocks in Tuesday sweep of Sioux Falls
- Had a week-high eight kills with four blocks in Friday sweep over Minnesota Crookston

NSIC Setter of the Week
#14 Maddy Torve (S, 5-11, R-Sr., Loretto, Minn. / Heritage Christian Academy) - St. Cloud State

- Led the Huskies to a 3-0 week by racking up 146 total assists to average 12.1 per set
- Piloted team to a .304 team hitting percentage, including a .308 clip against No. 5 SMSU
- Averaged 12.6 assists per set against No. 5 SMSU and Sioux Falls 
- Recorded 33 assists in the Huskies 3-0 sweep of #5 SMSU and a double-double with 10 digs
- Added four kills and an ace in the victory
- Tallied a career-high 68 assists and a double-double (11 digs) in the Huskies 3-2 win over USF
- Became just the third setter in program history with two or more 60+ career assists performances 
- Named NSIC Setter of the Week for the second time this season (9/7/21) 

Other Top Performances
OFFENSE
#3 Maddy Guetter (AUGIE)
led the Vikings in kills last week with 24 as the team went 2-1, beating Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. She averaged 2.67 kills per set highlighted by ten kills against SMSU. She also accounted for 17 total digs and five total blocks over the three matches.
#8 Jasmine Mulvihill (CSP) led the team with 4.60 kills per set while hitting .313 in the team’s three wins on the week. She added 2.60 digs, 0.50 blocks and 0.40 aces per set. She collected at least 13 kills and six digs in all three matches. She grabbed her third double-double of the year with 13 kills and 13 digs against NSU.
#6 Cianna Selbitschka (UMD) averaged 17.3 kills per match this week as she led UMD to a 2-1 NSIC record. Selbitschka had a season high .571 hitting percentage against Minnesota-Crookston. She also added 3 service aces in the match against Southwest Minnesota State. Selbitschka is currently tied for the conference lead in number of kills (210) and also has the most service aces (24).
#14 Amanda Carlson (MSUM) had 32 kills in three matches, with 11 kills and hit .348 in sweep of Minot State. She also had 12 kills in loss to Minnesota State.
#6 Peyton Ellingson (NSU) tallied 15 kills for Northern State versus Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul. She recorded a .448 hitting percentage, including a weekend high .545 against the Mavericks. She added eight blocks, four digs, and one assist and did not suffer a hitting error versus MSU.
#9 Averey Yaksich (USF)  continued her outstanding season with a standout weekend against nationally ranked Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. In a pair of 5 set losses both nights, Yaksich had 50 kills on 127 attacks and a .316 hitting mark as well as a service ace, 23 digs, double-double and 53.5 points. Against UMD, she had 24 kills on 62 attacks for a .306 hitting mark with a service ace, six total blocks, 15 digs and 28 points. In the five set loss to SCSU, she bettered her performance with 26 kills on 65 attacks and a .323 hitting mark while recording eight digs and 28.5 points. She moved into sixth on USF’s career kills (718) and attacks 2,056.
Angela Young (SMSU) had 43 kills in three matches during the week, leading SMSU to a 2-1 record. She had a season-high 21 kills in five set victory over Minnesota Duluth. She ranks fourth in the conference in kills per set.
#1 Kaitlin Niedert (UIU) led the team on offense with 31 kills and a .333 hitting percentage in 9 sets. The senior averaged 3.44 kills/set and added 8 digs and 3 blocks as the Peacocks posted a 2-1 record on the week.
#11 Kelsie Cada (WSC) averaged 4.11 kills and 2.89 digs per set in three WSC sweeps. She had a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs in Saturday’s 3-0 sweep over Bemidji State. She had 13 kills in 3-0 Friday sweep over Minnesota Crookston and 12 kills, two service aces and three blocks in Tuesday 3-0 sweep over Sioux Falls.
#8 Megan Flom (WSU) led #11 Winona State to a 3-0 record in three NSIC victories, moving the Warriors to 12-1 overall on the year. She had 41 total kills across three matches, hitting .471 for the week. She collected a .946 serve percentage, including three aces and was the top attacking performer for a team earning three, 3-0 sweeps of NSIC opponents. 

DEFENSE
#2 Erika Bute (AUGIE)
led the Vikings in digs in their three-match week going 2-1 accumulating 52 digs, 5.78 digs per set. She also had six assists and two service aces on the week.
#12 Grace Daak (UMD) had a total of 21 blocks to propel the Bulldogs to a 2-1 NSIC record this past week. With 21 total blocks, Daak only accounted for 1 blocking error. She also added 26 kills over the week (13 vs SMSU) with a .354 hitting percentage for the Bulldogs.
#10 Sarah Petrbok (MSUM) had 38 digs in three matches to average 4.22 digs per set. She had 15 digs, a week-long high, against Minnesota State.
#3 Katelyn Nichols (SMSU) totaled 11 blocks over three games last week, helping SMSU to a 2-1 record. She had a season-high eight block assists in five set victory over No. 19 UMD. She is third in the conference in blocks per set.
#10 Becca Pagel (WSU) collected 29 digs as #11 Winona State moved to 12-1 on the year. She led the team with a 3.22 dig/set mark. She added an ace with a .919 serve percentage. She registered a .926 reception percentage on 54 total chances.

SETTER
#9 Avery Thorson (AUGIE) 
accounted for 78 assists over three games last week, averaging 8.67 assists per set. In the match against Minnesota Crookston, she garnered a double-double having 35 assists and also racking up 11 digs. With her performance on Saturday afternoon, Thorson broke 2,500 total assists, good for No. 8 in Augustana’s record book at 2,531.
#5 Krista Goerger (USF) had season-highs in set assists in back to back times with 54 assists vs UMD and 56 assists against SCSU. She also had three service aces against UMD along with eight digs. She added her third double double this year with 20 digs - a season high - vs SCSU. She now has a school record of 2,872 assists. She is averaging 9.7 assists with year on 476 total. With 100 digs she now has 543 digs for her career (8th all-time at USF) and 105 service aces is second all-time at USF.
#6 Alisa Bengen (SMSU) had 113 assists last week, setting up the offense in a 2-1 week. She put up 46 assists in a five set victory against No. 19 UMD and also added six blocks in the three games.
#2 Bre Maloney (WSU) dished out 96 total assists in three Warrior wins this past week, all of which were 3-0 sweeps over NSIC opponents on the road. She averaged 12 assists per set and notched 3 kills and an ace. She also had 19 digs defensively, good for a 2.38 Dig/set average.
