NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#9 John Larson (QB, 6-1, 237, FY-Sr., Braham, Minn. / Braham HS) - Minnesota Duluth

- Was 22-of-33 for 447 yards and six passing touchdowns in a 41-14 win at Upper Iowa
- The six passing touchdowns tied the UMD single-game record
- The 447 passing yards were just 10 short of the single game record of 457 yards
- His performance included a 84 yard TD pass to Armani Carmickle

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#39 Clay Schueffner (LB, 6-2, 230, So., St. Cloud, Wis. / St. Mary Springs Academy) - Winona State

- Racked up eight tackles in the 47-6 season-opening win over Concordia-St. Paul 
- Added a sack on a 3rd and 8 for a loss of 14 yards and forcing a punt
- Helped the Warrior defense hold CSP to a mere 57 yards rushing 

NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week
#26 Payton Eue (K/P, 5-10, 175, Jr., Champlin, Minn. / Champlin Park HS) - Northern State

- Scored ten points for Northern State in a overtime loss at No. 2 Minnesota State
- Hit a career long field goal of 50-yards at 1:34 in the second quarter
- Averaged 62.0 yards per kick-off and 36.6 yards per punt with two inside the 20
- Is tied for the lead in the NSIC in made field goals and has the longest make of the season

Other Top Performances
 Offense
#11 Kyle Saddler (AUGIE)
threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns as the Augustana offense poured on 49 points in the season-opening victory. He also rushed for five yards and a touchdown. He completed 18 passes for those 301 yards, averaging nearly 17 yards per pass. The shutout victory for AU was the second-straight season-opening shutout.
#6 Malik Williams (BSU) set a career-high with 157 receiving yards and tied career-high with two receiving touchdowns. He caught touchdown receptions from 24 and 53 yards.
#11 Danny Kittner (UMary) set a Marauders record with 17 catches in the 2021 season opener at Wayne State. He posted 202 yards and two touchdowns, also career-highs. The 2019 NSIC North 1st team kick returner also had a 24 yard kick returner for a total of 226 all purpose yards, the 2nd best total of his career.
#8 Kaleb Sleezer (MSU) tallied a career-high 157 rushing yards and a touchdown in Minnesota State’s win against Northern State. 
#10 Tommy Falk (MSUM) threw for 285 yards and three scores in first collegiate start in 33-21 win over SMSU. Completed 19-of-21 passes in the game with no interceptions. Threw two second-half touchdowns to help secure win.
#7 Dakota Larson (NSU) led the receivers from both teams in the Wolves opening game versus Minnesota State with 168 yards. Het allied a game high two touchdowns, averaged 24.0 yards per reception and ranks third in the NSIC in receiving. 
#34 Thuro Reisdorfer (USF) registered his sixth 100-yard rushing game of his career in the season opener against Bemidji State, a 24-16 setback. He had 22 carries for 150 yards for a 6.8 average per carry. He also recorded two catches for 18 yards and had his 10th career game of at 100 all purpose yards. He has 1,452 career rushing yards.
#11 Willy Camacho (UIU) led the Peacocks in their season-opening 41-14 loss to No. 23 Minnesota Duluth. The freshman back ended the night with an impressive 101 yards on just 16 carries for an average of 6.3 yards per carry. Camacho also returned four kicks for 115 yards including a long run back of 71 yards.
#10 Tavian Willis (WSC)
accounted for 314 yards of total offense and three TD’s in season-opening 34-27 win over University of Mary. He completed 17 of 30 passes for 268 yards and 3 TD’s with no interceptions and also ran for 46 yards on nine carries.
#32 Javian Roebuck (WSU) had 131 yards on just 14 carries, averaging 9.4 yards per rush. Scored three first half touchdowns, including the first two Warrior scores. Rambled for 64-yard score, his longest as a Warrior. His 131 yards also a personal-best.

Defense
#43 T.J Liggett (AUGIE)
led the Vikings with six total tackles, five of which were solo. Helped Augustana shutout Minot State to open the season.  Liggett was credited with a pass breakup and quarterback hurry in the contest as the Viking defense held Minot to 164 total yards.
#2 Hameed Oyedele (BSU) led BSU with eight tackles, including seven solo. He also forced a fumble on USF’s opening drive and added one pass breakup.
#17 Marcus Glodowski (UMD) notched four solo tackles and 1 assisted tackle for 5 total tackles. Additionally, he added an interception and a pass breakup on the day.
#18 Tylen Small (UMary) made an immediate impact in his first game with the Marauders. The transfer from South Dakota State posted 11 tackles, all solo, against the Wildcats. He also had one tackle for loss.
#97 Bedale Naba (MSU) tied for the team lead in tackles with six vs. Northern State. Led team with 2.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks.
#8 Jake Bettcher (MSUM) had solid opening game in 33-21 Dragon win over SMSU.  Had six tackles, including a half-tackle for loss also had one of three Dragon interceptions.
#34 Brennan Kutterer (NSU) tallied 11 tackles versus Minnesota State, including six solo stops. Notched 1.5 tackles for a loss and grabbed one of Northern’s two interceptions in the game.

Special Teams
#19 Ben Limburg (AUGIE),
in his collegiate debut, went 7-for-7 on point after attempts. On 8 kickoffs, averaged 59.6 yards per kickoff and recorded one touchback.
#25 James Williams (MSU) recovered a muffed fair catch on a kickoff with 4:37 to go in the fourth quarter. His recovered fumble set up MSU’s final scoring drive of regulation that allowed the Mavericks to tie the score at 34 to force overtime.
#15 Justin Czech (MSUM) averaged 38.3 yards per punt with a long of 40 yards.
#97 Jacob Scott (WSU) was a perfect 6-for-6 in PAT’s and was 1-for-2 in the field goal department, connecting on a 30-yarder for Winona State.
