NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#14 Sara Wendt (F, 5-10, Sr., Arden Hills, Minn. / Mounds View HS) - Bemidji State

- Netted both goals in a 2-0 victory over NCAA Division I opponent North Dakota
- Headed in first goal at 86:43 off corner kick from Megan Carlson
- Added second goal at 88:21 after Allyson Smith threaded her a pass on a break-away 
- Friday’s four-point match marked her seven career match with at least three points
- Has six goals and two assists in BSU’s last four matches dating back to last spring

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#11 Katrina Kazluski (D, 5-8, Fr., Poplar Grove, Illinois / Belvidere North HS) - Upper Iowa

- Helped UIU shutout Missouri Southern State in 1-0 win
- Held MSSU to 12 shots, with only five on goal
- Scored the deciding goal at 29:21 
- Helped UIU win in their first match since Nov. 2019 and start 1-0 for the first time since 2018 

NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week
#00 Alexus Townsend (GK, 5-5, Fr., Omaha, Neb. / Gross Catholic HS) - Northern State

- Earned first career shutout win with 10 saves in a 1-0 victory over Montana State Billings
- Turned back four corner kick attempts
- Made five saves in each period
- Helped head coach Bob Casper to first career victory at NSU

Other Top Performances
OFFENSE
#5 Allie Williams (MSU
) took two shots and scored a game-winning goal to lead MSU to a 1-0 win in the regular-season opener.
#24 Megan Fastenau (NSU) scored first career goal in Northern State’s win over Montana State Billings.
#24 Alex Lotts (SMSU) scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute of 1-0 victory against Black Hills State University. She had three shots, one on net, in 51 minutes off the bench.
#11 Katrina Kazluski (UIU) scored the deciding goal in UIU’s 1-0 season-opening win over MSSU. She finished with a 100% shot percentage as she converted her lone attempt. She helped UIU win in their first match since Nov. 2019 and start 1-0 for the first time since 2018.
#5 Jaida Wiege (WSU) picked up in 2021 where she left off in 2019; scoring goals. The junior forward from Coon Rapids needed just 11 minutes to tally her first score of the year, calmly finishing off a through pass from Missy Greco to give the Warriors the lead in the contest. Wiege had two shots on goal in 56 minutes of action against the Rangers

DEFENSE
#24 Natalie Thoen (MSU)
led the Maverick’s defenders with two shots on goal in her first collegiate match.
#7 Missy Greco (WSU), lining up as a defensive midfielder, turned in a strong two-way performance for Winona State in their 3-1 loss to UW-Parkside on Friday. Greco assisted on the lone Winona State goal, slotting a perfectly weighted through ball for Jaida Wiege to knock home at the 11 minute mark, giving the Warriors the initial lead in the contest. Greco also patrolled the midfield for WSU, holding the Rangers to only five shots on goal and one corner kick on the day.

GOALKEEPER
#1 Alyssa Stumbaugh (BSU)
collected her second collegiate shutout posting three saves versus NCAA Division I opponent North Dakota to open the season. Extended her own shutout streak to 487:53 dating back to Sept. 27, 2019. She has not allowed a goal in her last eight regular-season appearances.
#1 Madisyn Waltman (UMary) had a big night in the Marauders season opener as in front of over 500 Marauders fans, she posted nine saves for UMary in a 1-1 draw with MSU Billings. She made a handful of extraordinary saves during the night and was forced to make a save in each of the two extra sessions.
#33 Clare Longueville (MSU) recorded a clean sheet with six saves in first career start and appearance in a win over Missouri Southern State. 
#1 Meghan Harkin (SMSU) recorded a shutout in first collegiate game since Brienna Dehkes in 2013. She collected two saves in the win. 
#30 Natalie Rudrud (UIU) secured five saves on all five of MSSU’s shots on goal and didn’t allow a goal on 12 shot attempts. She anchored the UIU defense in a 1-0 win as she helped pick up the shutout. She faced five corner kicks and came away unscathed.
