NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#5 Sam Masten (G, 6-3, 185, Jr., Highlands Ranch, Colo. / Rock Canyon HS) - Northern State)
- Averaged 29.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists in a pair of wins
- Shot 57.1% from the floor (20-of-35) and was 14-of-16 from the line
- Set a single game season high four made 3-pointers in a 69-68 win over SMSU
- Scored 30 points with five boards and four assists versus SMSU
- Had 29 points and five boards in a 79-72 win over USF
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the second time this season (11/22/21)

#15 Jake Hilmer (G, 5-11, 175, Jr., Walker, Iowa / North Linn HS) - Upper Iowa
- Averaged 25.5 points and 5.5 assists in a pair of win
- Shot 65.2% from the field (15-of-23), was 5-of-6 from deep and 16-of-17 from the line
- Scored 24 points with five assists in a 108-95 in over SCSU
- Added 27 points and six assists in a 94-85 win over No. 5 UMD
- Collected three steals on the weekend
Other Top Performances - North
#11 Travis Bianco (BSU) scored 19 points and had 14 rebounds in an overtime loss to CSP.
#10 Kai Huntsberry (UMary) averaged 19.5 ppg over two games. He posted 24 points, five rebounds and six assists against Wayne State and followed with 15 points against #23 Augustana, making all six free throws in the game. He is 4th in scoring in the NSIC at 18.7 ppg.
#10 Uzo Dibiamaka (UMC) had 15 points on 5-of-11 from the field in a victory over Concordia-St. Paul Friday. He added six rebounds and three assists to help the Golden Eagles to the win. Dibiamaka was 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 3-of-4 from the foul line.
#32 Austin Andrews (UMD) averaged 23 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over the weekend. He tallied 29 points and 14 rebounds in the Bulldogs win over Winona State. He then had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the game against Upper Iowa. Andrews shot 74% from the field on the weekend.
Other Top Performances - South
#21 Isaac Fink (AUGIE) had a near double-double with 23 points and 9 rebounds in a victory at UMary. He tallied 20 of those points in the first half which gave AUGIE a 19-point halftime lead. He sank five 3-point field goals as part of the 23 points.
#1 Elijah Ormiston (CSP) led the team with 26.0 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 69.4% from the floor in CSP’s three games on the week. His 90.9% (10-11) shooting percentage against UMC was the highest in the DII-era at CSP on at least 11 attempts. He set a career high with 29 points on 14-20 shooting at SCSU last Monday. He scored 26 points after halftime to help CSP claim their first NSIC win of the year. He has cleared 20+ points in five straight games and eight total times on the season.
#2 Jack Thompson (USF) had 21 points, including 4-of-5 from three-point range, in a 79-72 cross-divisional loss at Northern State on Saturday. Thompson, who had his second straight game of 20 points or more, also had six rebounds, two assists and two steals in 31 minutes on the floor. Thompson now has 29 career double-digit scoring games with his 10th 20-point game of his career.
#23 Justin Eagins (WSC) scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half to rally WSC in a 76-69 road win at UMary Friday night. He was 7-9 shooting in 2nd half, including 4 of 6 from 3-point range. He finished the game with 22 points on 8-14 shooting, including 4-7 from downtown. Eagins has scored 20 or more points in six of his last eight games.
#5 Alec Rosner (WSU) scored 34 points against St. Cloud State, a part of a outstanding NSIC weekend in which the junior forward averaged 22.0 points per game. In scoring 34 points vs. SCSU, is now T-3rd for highest single-game scoring effort in NSIC this season. He was 17-of-33 overall (51.5 FG%) and 4-of-5 from free throw line (80.0%). He hit 6-of-14 3-point attempts (42.9 3FG%). He also averaged three rebounds per game & two steals per outing. He has only one turnover in over 64 minutes of action.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders.
