NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#34 Amber Stevahn (F, 5-11, Jr., Bismarck, N.D. / Shiloh Christian HS) - Minot State
- Helped the Beavers to a pair of home wins over MSU & CSP
- Averaged 24.0 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 assists
- Scored 30 points with 11 boards in an 81-71 win over MSU
- Added 18 points and a game-high nine rebounds in a 81-70 win over CSP
NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#12 Taylor Hustad (F, 5-10, Sr., New Prague, Minn. / New Prague HS) - Winona State
- Averaged 20.5 points. 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in wins at MSUM and NSU
- Was 18-of-28 (64%) from the field
- Scored a season-high 24 points to go with nine boards in a 77-66 win at MSUM
- Scored 17 points with four rebounds and four assists in a 65-55 win at NSU
Other Top Performances - North
#24 Brooke Olson (UMD) averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists during the Bulldogs two wins over the weekend. This included an 23 point, 8 rebound game against Wayne State on Saturday. Overall, Olson shot 15-30 (50%) from the field over the weekend.
#30 Peyton Boom (MSUM) recorded back to back double doubles as the Dragons went 1-1. She had 17 points and 11 rebounds in loss to Winona State and added 14 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in 56-45 win over Upper Iowa on Saturday. She now has three double-doubles on the season.
#23 Haley Johnson (NSU) led the Wolves to a 1-1 weekend where they defeated Upper Iowa (71-62) but fell to Winona State (65-55). She averaged 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game on the weekend. She shot 54.2 percent from the field on 13-24 shooting. Johnson scored a career high 17 points against Winona State and dished out a career high five assists against Upper Iowa.
#2 Tori Wortz (SCSU) led the Huskies to wins over Wayne State and Augustana as she averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals. She shot .536 (15-28) from the floor, including 11-17 in a 72-59 win over Augustana. She scored 24 points in St. Cloud State’s win over the Vikings and added five rebounds, two assists and two steals. She added 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal in the 72-64 win over Wayne State. She scored her 1,500 career point in the win over Wayne State Friday.
Other Top Performances - South
#10 Maddy Olson (MSU) led team in scoring in both games against Minot & Mary with 18 and 15 averaging 16.5 ppg. She was 6-of-14 from beyond the arc for 42.8% on the weekend and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe for 81.8%. She accumulated 6 steals, 3 assists and 3 rebounds.
#5 Dallie Hoskinson (USF) averaged 11.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists 2.0 steals as USF Women’s Basketball defeated Bemidji State 66-59 and Minnesota Crookston 70-60. She registered her fifth double double at USF with 13 points and 12 rebounds, including a career-best 8 offensive rebounds, in the win over BSU. She also had three assists, a block and a steal. Against UMC she had nine points, six rebounds, six assists, three steals and a block in the win. Overall, she was 8-of-20 from the field and 2-of-2 from three-point range with 4-of-7 foul shots. She totaled 18 rebounds including 11 offensive boards or 5.5 per game. Hoskinson has surpassed 700 career points (703) and 600 rebounds (606) in her career.
#3 Sadie Stelter (SMSU) averaged 22 points on 45 percent shooting and 8 rebounds to lead the Mustangs to a 1-1 weekend record. She scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 63-55 win over Minnesota Crookston on Friday. She also tied a career-high with four steals against the Golden Eagles. She scored 19 points and secured nine rebounds in a 70-67 loss against Bemidji State on Saturday.
#11Brooke Evenson (UIU) averaged 13.5 points, four rebounds, and a steal while shooting 10-21 (47.6%) from the floor and 7-12 (58.3%) from three. She scored a game-high 22 points, grabbed five rebounds, tied for a game-high with two steals, and notched one block while shooting 8-14 (57.1%) against NSU. She made six triples on 10 attempts on Friday, setting a new career-high and tying for the seventh-most threes in a game in UIU history.
#5 Kylie Hammer (WSC) averaged 26.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game against the top two teams from the NSIC North. She scored 27 points Friday vs. St. Cloud State, going 9-12 from the field, 3-3 from 3-point range and 6-7 at the free throw line. She added 26 points Saturday vs. Minnesota Duluth on 8-16 shooting from the field and 7 of 7 at the line. For the weekend, she shot 60.7 percent (17-28) from the field, 6-10 from 3-point range (60%) and 13-14 (92.9%) at the free throw line.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders.
