NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#40 Nikki Kilboten (F, 6-2, Sr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Eau Claire North HS) - St. Cloud State
- Helped SCSU to a 71-67 win over Minnesota Duluth
- Helped SCSU to its first regular season series sweep against UMD since 2017-18
- Scored a game-leading 21 points on 8-15 shooting
- Pulled down a team and game leading nine rebounds in the victory
- Added one block and one steal
- Scored 20+ points for the third time this season
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the second time this season (11/29/21)
NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#22 Lauren Sees (G, 5-9, So., Avon, S.D. / Avon HS) - Augustana
- Led the Vikings to wins against Dakota Wesleyan (91-67) and Wayne State (74-63)
- Scored a season-high 27 points while shooting 66.7 percent against DWU
- Added three rebounds, two steals and two assists
- Scored 24 points while shooting 58.8 percent from the field against Wayne State
- Posted six assists and four rebounds to earn a season split with WSC
Other Top Performances - North
#22 Megan Zander (UMary) scored 17 points to lead the University of Mary to a 99-47 win over Valley City State in a non-conference game. She hit 6-of-7 shots while hitting all three of her trey attempts. She added five rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes.
#30 Peyton Boom (MSUM) had a game-high 23 points in 67-50 win at Northern State. She added a game-high four steals along with three assists and finished 9-of-20 from the floor.
Other Top Performances - South
#1 Sydney Zgutowicz (CSP) posted her third double-double in last four games with 15 points and 13 rebounds in a win at No. 21 MSU. She scored 7-straight points for CSP during a 9-2 run to take an 83-77 late in the 4th quarter at undefeated #21 Minnesota State. She has averaged 15.5 points and 9.3 rebounds in CSP’s 4-game winning streak.
#1 Joey Batt (MSU) scored a team high 19 points against CSP. She was 3-for-5 from three-point range and added four rebounds, two steals and an assist against CSP.
#34 Krystal Carlson (USF) led USF Women’s Basketball to a 69-61 road win at SMSU on Sunday. Carlson totaled 14 points, seven rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists in a solid all-around game. Carlson, who hit 5-of-14 shots and was 4-of-4 from the foul line, recorded her 20th career double-digit scoring game. She also surpassed 500 career points (512).
#11 Emily Kieck (WSU) scored a career-high 26 points for Winona State in a 61-55 win over Upper Iowa. She was 9-of-17 from the floor, 2-of-4 from 3-point land and perfect at the free-throw line at 6-of-6. She had a team-best three steals in the game and dished out four assists in 35 minutes of action.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders. Formed in 1992 by the merger of the Northern Intercollegiate Conference (men’s league) and the Northern Sun Conference (women’s league), the NSIC has flourished over the past quarter century, maturing into a 16-team union of Upper Midwest colleges and universities.
