NSIC Wrestler of the Week
Jaden Verhagen (125 lbs., R-Fr., Kaukauna, Wis. / Kaukauna HS) - University of Mary
- Pinned Jackson Stauffacher of SMSU at the 2:30 mark
- Handed Stauffacher his first loss in eight matches this season as UMary won the dual 28-10
- Added a 5-2 decision victory over No. 10 Trenton McManus in a 25-11 dual win over Minnesota State
- The win over MSU was the first for the Marauders in their series history
Other Top Performances
Jaxson Rohman (AUGIE) recorded a fall at 2:15 against MSU Moorhead's Clayson Mele. Prior to the fall, he recorded two takedowns and a two-point near fall. No. 4 nationally ranked Rohman is 11-1 overall this season as Augustana remains unbeaten in NSIC action.
Cole Jones (MSUM) scored a third-period takedown to top Parkside's Joe Roti, 5-3 at 133 pounds. He won by forfeit vs. Augustana and is now 8-6 on year.
Keegan Berry (MINOT) scored a pair of wins, starting off with a 14-3 major decision at 184 pounds against 17th-ranked Minnesota State, Mankato. His win by pin helped turned the matches momentum in Minot State's first dual win of the season against SMSU as Berry scored with 29 seconds left wrestling up a weight-class at 197.
Garrett Vos (SCSU) earned a dominating 17-1 tech fall over No. 5 Kaden Anderlik in the Huskies' 34-2 win over No. 15 Upper Iowa. In a battle of two of the NCAA's top-five 133-pounders, Vos put Anderlik on his back three times for a trio of nearfalls and added three takedowns.
Tate Murty (UIU) went 5-0 at the Loras Open to improve to 6-0 on the season claiming the 141-pound title. Murty won four of the five matches with bonus points thanks to a pair of falls, a tech fall and a major decision. In addition to Murty's great day on Saturday, Myron Crawford scored a 7-3 decision at 184 pounds in UIU's dual loss at St. Cloud State on Thursday night.
