NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#10 Brynn Desens (M/F, 5-7, Sr., Appleton, Wis. / Appleton North HS) - Minnesota State
- Scored two goals on the weekend, one in each match
- Opened the scoring at 9:33 in a 2-1 win at SCSU on Friday
- Scored the game tying goal against UMD at 77:08 in a 1-1 draw
- Played 164 minutes for the Mavericks over the weekend

#9 Megan Dahl (D, 5-8, 5th, Rosemount, Minn. / Rosemount HS) - Bemidji State
- Was part of a Beaver defense that allowed seven shots, four on goal over the weekend
- Helped BSU shutout both WSU and UIU
- Assisted on a Sara Wendt goal in a 1-0 win over WSU
- Contributed two shots, one on goal
- Named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row

#1 Maddie Kindred (GK, 5-8, R-Sr., Soldotna, Alaska / Soldotna) - Minot State
- Recorded a pair of shutouts over the weekend
- Racked up 16 saves, including nine on Friday in a 1-0 win over Augustana
- Faced seven corner kicks on the weekend, including three on Sunday in a 1-0 win over WSC
- Her 19 career shutouts are a Minot State record
- Named NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season (9/19/22)

OFFENSE
#3 Grace Douglas (AUGIE) assisted on two goals in Augustana’s 3-1 victory over UMary on Sunday. She recorded five shots and two shots on goal in the victory.
#11 Erin Becker (BSU) led the Beavers in scoring over the weekend by posting three points off a goal and assist. She recorded all three points in the Beavers’ 3-0 win over Upper Iowa. She posted two shots on goal and scored her goal off a penalty kick.
#8 Mo Malone (UMary) scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in the Marauders 2-0 win over Wayne State. She drilled a 25 yard shot into the upper right just 5:43 into the game. She added an assist off a cross for a Kendra Park header in the 18th minute. She helped limit WSC to 7 shots (4 on frame).
#9 Jensen Seidel (MSUM) scored a goal against SMSU to help the Dragons come from behind to beat the SMSU Mustangs on Friday. She finished with two shots on goal.
#5 Sofia Galvez (MINOT) had the lone goal of the game, providing the win for the Beavers on Friday in a 1-0 victory over Augustana. Sunday, Galvez had two shots in the Beavers win over Wayne State.
#9 Isabela Polanco Garcia (NSU) helped lead the Wolves to a 1-0-1 weekend where they defeated Sioux Falls (2-0) and tied with Southwest Minnesota State (2-2). She scored her first goal of the season in Northern’s victory over USF, and placed all three shot attempts on-goal in the game.
#26 Madelynn Drasher (WSU) scored Winona State’s second goal of the match against Minnesota Crookston in a 3-0 victory. Also added an assist against UMC in 46 minutes of action. She tallied 124 minutes across two matches this weekend to help the Warrior attack.
DEFENSE
#22 Rachel Boelke (UMD) scored the tying goal in their 1-1 tie with No. 13 Minnesota State.
#27 Courtney Kovacs (MSU) anchored the Maverick Defense playing all 180 minutes. She assisted on Jenny Vetter’s goal on Friday’s game winning goal.
#18 Mason Kimble (MSUM) helped the Dragons hold opponents to only one goal on the weekend against SMSU and USF.
#30 Shaye Taylor (MINOT) anchored the defense in a pair of shutouts, playing all 180 minutes during the weekend that saw goalie Maddie Kindred break the career shutout record.
#27 Paige Johnson (NSU) played a key role on the Northern State defense during a 1-0-1 weekend as the Wolves defeated Sioux Falls (2-0) and tied with Southwest Minnesota State (2-2). She helped lead the Wolves to their eighth shutout of the season and the sixth in NSIC play. Her first goal of her career came against USF on Friday night and was the game-winning goal for the Wolves in the shutout win. She totaled one shot-on-goal, two shots, one goal, one game-winning goal, and two points this weekend.
#27 Bailey Deininger (WSU) led the Warriors with 154 minutes over two matches this weekend. She was a part of a strong WSU defense that allowed just one goal across both matches this weekend. She played a vital role in Winona State’s shutout win against Minnesota Crookston and added a shot on goal.
GOALKEEPER
#99 Ashlyn Waldon (CSP) secured her third shutout of the season with five saves against St. Cloud State. She recorded 10 saves and faced four corner kicks. She totaled 180 minutes in her two starts on the weekend and ranks eighth in the conference with a.957 goals against average.
#1 Simone Lewald (MSUM) held USF scoreless on Sunday with 6 saves.
#01 Chloe Swanson (WSU) allowed just one goal in 121 minutes of action in net for the Warriors this weekend. Started in goal both contests over the weekend and was a part of a combined shutout in the Warriors 3-0 win over Minnesota Crookston. Saved four shots on goal in the match against Bemidji State.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders. Formed in 1992 by the merger of the Northern Intercollegiate Conference (men’s league) and the Northern Sun Conference (women’s league), the NSIC has flourished over the past quarter century, maturing into a 16-team union of Upper Midwest colleges and universities.
