Having Trin come back for her fifth year is obviously a huge factor for us going into this season. She is a dynamic defender and scorer off the bounce specifically. She brings leadership and experience to our team that will be crucial for this fairly unfamiliar group that we have this year.
Head Coach Chelsea Stoltenberg
We have a lot of players that have been in the program who will finally get an opportunity to see time and provide contributions this year. That coupled with some familiar players returning and newcomers it will be exciting to see what this new group will be able to do to build off of recent season successes.
Head Coach Chelsea Stoltenberg

CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, ST. PAUL

Lindsey is a returning all-conference dominate post player who led us in scoring last year. She is very effective on both ends of the floor as she also leads our team in block shots and is a huge presence inside on defense protecting the paint.
Head Coach Amanda Johnson
The addition of a few impactful transfers and a great incoming freshmen class. The returners also bring experience and a winning attitude and culture.

Lexie has improved every year both in her statistical play and her leadership. She's a joy to coach. Lexie is really active in our community, working with the Bismarck Cancer Center.
Head Coach Rick Neumann
We have 12 players returning, including four starters, who played significant minutes last season. While replacing a five-year starting PG in Macy Williams won't be easy, we're really excited about the experienced talent coming back. Our depth should be an extreme strength of ours this season.
Head Coach Rick Neumann

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA CROOKSTON

Bren has done a great job in the off-season to improve her game. I’m very hopeful that it will carry over into the season.

I am so excited about this group because the overall motivation is incredible. The team is bringing a lot of energy every single day and responds so well to being challenged. It is rare to coach a group of people that wants to be coached and challenged in the way they do right now. I will be extremely happy if they figure out how maintain this motivation and energy throughout the entire season. I am having an absolute blast being in the gym with them and just appreciate that they make my job so enjoyable.

MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, MANKATO

Joey is a phenomenal leader and the heartbeat of our team. She has an incredible work ethic and a passion for the game of basketball that radiates to those around her. She has a motor that is unmatched and is a true joy to coach. Joey's goofy personality and high energy are rivaled only by her feistiness and drive to win. She never takes a possession off and is a vital piece in our up-tempo style. As a three-time All-NSIC player, Joey has proven her ability to make a difference in this league.
Head Coach Emilee Thiesse
We're excited to be returning a great core from last year's NCAA Tournament team. With three of our top four leading scorers back this season and six players that averaged double figure minutes, we will lean on our experience to help guide us through the grueling NSIC schedule. Our six newcomers will add necessary depth that will allow us to push the tempo and continue our full court pressure defense. This team has a special chemistry and we can't wait to see it come together on the court!
Head Coach Emilee Thiesse

MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY MOORHEAD

Peyton comes into the 2022-23 season with a ton of experience and great leadership ability. She has an exceptional lo-post game to go along with one of the best jump shots in the NSIC. She's an exceptional player on both ends of the floor.

Kate is our lone senior, eligibility wise, and will be a great leader for us. She is an extremely hard worker and will do what is best for the team. Her competitiveness is one of her best strengths and I look for her to have an outstanding season for us.
Head Coach Michael Brandt
Having an influx of players our staff recruited along with the returners from last year is exciting. First years are always challenging, and even more so when you take over a team that is already in place. I like what I have seen from our new players, and our returners have a year of our coaching style and expectations under their belt. They seem to be meshing very well and that excites me.
Head Coach Michael Brandt

With Jenna's experience she understands how tough NSIC play is every single night. Her ability to shoot the "3" at a very high level allows her to play in space and get to the rim. She's worked extremely hard on her game and continues to strive to be better and better each year.

Lydia is truly a special point guard. Most importantly she is a great person, very strong academically, and is one of our hardest workers. On the court she is able to control the game and be the floor general we need. Lydia has great court vision and her teammates know that if they get open she will get them the ball. She can get to the paint at will and for her size she can finish with the best of them. Lydia has worked incredibly hard this pre-season and I am excited to see her compete in the NSIC this year.
Head Coach Justin Maass
It is very exciting to watch our team embrace and run with the new culture we are working to implement at Upper Iowa. We have a great group of athletes that love the game of basketball and want to get better. As a coach, there is nothing more than I can ask for than having a group of individuals that are passionate about this game. Our energy level has been very high this pre-season and our athletes have been focused on getting better every day. The whole program has bought in and we are excited to compete in the NSIC this year.

Logan is the kind of player every coach wants. She approaches everything in life with a smile on her face. It can't be understated how great of a teammate Logan is too. She comes into the gym everyday with the same attacking attitude and mindset, which makes coaching her easy. She's constantly looking for feedback on how to improve her game. Not to mention the number of shots she gets up during her free time. Logan is a crucial member of this team, and we look forward to seeing her hard work during the offseason translate into games this year.
Head Coach Brent Pollari
Our staff believes that there are many exciting aspects of our team this year. First, being the attitudes and mindset that the student-athletes come to the gym with every day. They're attacking each day, holding themselves accountable, and pushing each other to be better. We're also excited about the depth of our team. We've been impressed with the newcomers and how quickly they've adjusted to the pace of the college game. As well as being impressed by the off-season development of our returners. We've also added length and size which is a benefit to our play style. Our staff is really encouraged by what we see from the team and are looking forward to competing at a high level this season.
Head Coach Brent Pollari

Caitlin has played key minutes for us since her freshman season. She is one of the most prolific shooters in the league, connecting on 118 3s already in her career. Caitlin has the ability to take over the game offensively. She wants to get better and appreciates being challenged. We are excited to see how she used her off-season to become a more well-rounded player.
