NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#11 Kate Head (G, 5-5, Sr., Brisbane, Australia / Ipswich Girls’ Grammar) - Minot State
- Led Minot State to a pair of wins over Southeastern Oklahoma State
- Averaged 25.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in a pair of wins
- Had a career-high 26 points with eight assists and five boards to open season
- Added 24 points eight boards and three assists in second win
NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#3 Lydia Haack (G, 5-3, Jr., Elk River, Minn. / Elk River HS) - Upper Iowa
- Led UIU to wins over Southern Arkansas (86-74) and Arkansas-Monticello (74-59)
- Averaged 26.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game
- Scored 25 on Friday night and then added 28 on Saturday night
- Converted 20-37 from the field (54%), 2-5 from deep (40%) and 11-15 at the line
- Played all but five minutes of the two games
Other Top Performances - North
#3 Rianna Fillipi (NSU) led Northern State to a 1-1 record at this weekend’s conference challenge. She averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game against Central Missouri and Rogers State. She scored a team high 16 points and added three rebounds and two assists against UCM in game one; she followed that with 12 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and three steals against RSU in game two.
#11 Jada Eggebrecht (SCSU) put up a total of 36 points and led the Huskies in scoring for both games over the weekend. She currently sits at 5th in the NSIC for scoring. In two games, she is averaging 18 points per game.
Other Top Performances - South
#22 Lauren Sees (AUGIE) helped AU this weekend to two regional wins against No. 3 Fort Hays State, 62-59, and a win over a 2021-22 Elite Eight competitor Missouri Western, 86-77. Sees totaled 30 points, 11 assists, and 6 rebounds. She tied her career-high of six assists in the game against Missouri Western.
#34 Krystal Carlson (USF) saw 61 minutes for the Cougars this weekend while putting up 18 points in games against Missouri Western State and #3 Fort Hayes State. She pulled down nine rebounds on the weekend. Carlson put down 3 blocks for USF along with 4 steals on the weekend.
#11 Lauren Zacharias (WSC) scored 22 points to lead Wayne State in a 99-90 season opening win vs. Newman (Kan.). She made 8 of 14 shots from the field and 4 for 8 from 3-point line.
#0 Catilin Riley (WSU) led the Warriors with 14.3 points per game in three wins during their Puerto Rico trip. Shot 54.2% from the field, and went an impressive 12-19 (63.2%) from beyond the arc over the weekend. Scored a game-high 20 points on 6-9 shooting and went 6-8 from deep in a win against Puerto Rico-Mayaguez in the season opener.
