We also have some hungry freshman that will continue to grow this year. The indoor season looks great for the Beavers!

The women's team has been decidedly more focused and motivated this fall, particularly in strength training. We graduated some great team members last year, and the returners recognize it is their turn to step up and take the lead.
Head Coach Sam Johnson
Following an outdoor season last spring that saw her take down the school record in the 400m, Cece has had her most consistent fall training of her career thus far. Because of that, we think she is poised for some great performances heading into the competitive season.

Arika begins her senior indoor season with the intention of defending her national high jump title while also continuing to become a more well-rounded pentathlete. So while the goals are set and she has a knack for showing up in the biggest moments and being at her best when the stakes are high, this year will have a different feel. She now has a target on her back and won't be able to surprise anyone, so managing external expectations will be important to her continued success this year.

This will be the youngest team we have had for many years. I am excited to see what they can show come season and how well they can improve throughout the season to reach their full potential. This group has many who can have a breakout season. It all comes down to proving it on meet day and at the conference championship.

Ava has drastically improved over her time as a Marauder. She shows great dedication to her sport and it's been paying off for her at the conference meets. She will lead a strong women's group of sprinters who will have a lot of success in the relays this season.

Arianna had a breakout season last year with national qualification and All-Conference. That credit goes to her drive to be one of the best in the country. Arianna has improved many areas that used to be a weakness and they are helping her make an impact in more than the long jump. Arianna sets the tone for our jumps squad this season while helping lead the rest of the team to the Marauder's standard.

This is a very young track and field team, and they are growing together in all phases of life. Minot State University is in its first phase of rebuilding this historic program. Our student-athletes understand that and that is what excites me as their coach. The student-athletes understand that there is plenty of work do, and there is no one else better for the job than them.

Summer is a tiny firecracker, as the adjective describes, she is small and packs a very big punch. Standing at 5-foot-2, you may not recognize her in a group, but when it comes to training and her efforts academically there's a huge contrast with her height and efforts. She will do well, making an immediate impact as a freshman in a very competitive conference as it pertains to sprints.

Chloe is going into her junior year here at Minot State University. Thus far this year she has taken over the role of being a leader on and off the field as she enters the year with one of the highest GPAs on the women's team. Shereen is coming off a year that saw her win the Indoor and Outdoor NCAA 400m crowns. The times she ran last spring allowed her to represent her country and compete in the World Athletics Championships and Commonwealth Games over the summer. Those experiences have helped her grown in her confidence and learn how to compete against great competition and under pressure. That growth combined with her work ethic and incredible internal drive to push herself to be better each day are setting her up for what could be another successful season.
