Sioux Falls, SD – In their fourth straight conference championship appearance, the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs took on the St. Cloud State Huskies for the second year in a row. Started off slow as both teams were blocking and turning over the ball, but the Bulldogs quickly found a rhythm and stuck with it for the rest of the game. At the half, the Bulldogs were leading by an astonishing 22 points and after being swept by the Huskies in the regular season, the Bulldogs got the ultimate revenge by winning the Conference Championship.
Brooke Olson was the star of the show in the first half as she led the team with 17 points, 3 rebounds, and was 7-8 (87.5%) from the field. After the first quarter, the Bulldogs were leading 19-8 and Olson had more points than the entire Huskies team as she was 4-4. Within just 20 seconds of the second quarter, Olson had left the game temporarily due to an injury, but the momentum didn't go away.
Maesyn Thiesenhad a steal and made a three pointer with the assist from
Ann Simonet. Olson returned soon after and scored two more baskets before the end of the half. The Bulldogs ended the first half with a 35 to 13 lead. Overall, the team was 14-30 (46.6%) from the field, 4-10 (40%) from three-point range, and 3-6(50%) at the line.
In the third quarter we saw 2019 MVP,
Sarah Grow, score six of the teams twelve points and the Huskies started to heat up a bit heading into the fourth quarter. The Huskies put on the pressure, but the Bulldogs kept their composure as

Taytum Rhoades all scored points to keep the Dogs in the lead. With 2:00 left in the game, the starters came off the court and the team secured the Conference Championship victory. Overall, the Bulldogs were 26-58 (44.8%) from the field, 5-15 (33.3%) from three-point range, and 5-8 (62.5%) at the line.
Brooke Olsonfinished the night with 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 0 assists. Olson was 9-13 (69.2%) from the field, 2-3 (66.7%) from three-point range, and 1-1 (100%) at the line.
The final score of the game was 62-39. The Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs are back-to-back NSIC Conference Champions and they are on a 16-game win streak. This was their fourth straight appearance in the Conference Championship, and it is their third time winning out of those four appearances.
