NSIC Player of the Week
#5 Nick Altermatt (INF/RHP, 6-0, 225, Jr., R/R, Wanda, Minn. / Wabasso HS) - Minnesota State

- Tied for the Mavericks' team-lead in batting average, batting .500 in three games played
- Led MSU with a 1.250 slugging pct. last week
- Tied for a team-high with 10 RBI last week
- Had a career-high seven RBI with two home runs in the Mavericks 21-3 victory over Notre Dame College
- Also, owned a team-best ERA with no runs allowed over the course of four innings pitched, last week

NSIC Pitcher of the Week
#15 Nicolas Herold (RHP, 6-4, 225, Sr., L/R, Coon Rapids, Minn. / Coon Rapids HS) – Winona State

- Had his longest outing of the year against the University of the Sciences
- Put together a strong five innings of work for a Warrior win
- Held UScience to no hits & no runs and struck out 12 batters
- Walked only one as he earned his first win of the season

Other Top Performances - Player
#3 Carter Howell (AUGIE) batted .412 with a.941 slugging percentage as the Vikings went 3-2-1 on their Spring Break trip to Florida. He slugged three home runs and 12 RBI, both team highs. He totaled seven hits, six runs scored and struck out just twice in 17 at-bats.
#22 Jack  Munson (BSU) hit .438 from the plate in four games at Tucson Invitational Games. He went 3-of-5 from the plate with four RBI, one stolen base and one run in a 15-4 win over Jamestown. He totaled eight total bases, four RBI, three runs, one double and one walk  and was 2-for-2 on stolen base attempts.
#2 James  Martin (UMary) was 4-for-8 with two home runs and a double in a doubleheader at MSU Billings on Saturday. He scored three runs and drove in four as the Marauders split with the Yellowjackets. He was 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI in the opener. He is hitting .345/.387/.828 with a 1.215 OPS and 4 home runs this season.
#29 Ben Thoma (UMC) hit three home runs in Florida. He had his first career two home run game against Northwood as he went 3-for-5 with three runs scored. He has two four RBI games this season.
Kaiden Cardoso  (MINOT) led the Beavers offense and defense, going 6-for-10 at the plate with 3 doubles and 2 RBI, and also played error-free, handling 12 chances cleanly on defense at second and third base for the Beavers.
#44 Reece  Ragatz (NSU) hit 8-for-17, with a batting average of .471 in five games during the week. He recorded one double and 5 RBI in his at bats, while scoring six runs of his own.
#27 Tyler Cate (USF) hit .348 with eight hits in 23 at bats and two RBI along with eight total bases, in leading USF Baseball to a 3-3 record at the Russmat Central Florida Invitational. He had a .348 slugging mark and .400 OBP while stealing two bases. He is now hitting .375 on the season with 21 hits.
#1 Isaac  Nett (SMSU) helped SMSU to a 5-1 record last week at the Tucson Invitational batting (.550) with 11 hits in 20 at bats in five games (he did not play Sunday's win over Carthage). He finished the week with one triple, one home run, seven runs scored and eight RBIs. He closed the week with a .800 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .654. He also had five walks and three stolen bases. He had multi-game hits in four of the five games he played, including a career-high four hits in SMSU's 4-2 win over Jamestown on Saturday. SMSU's five-game winning streak is the program's longest since 2018.
#22 Sam Riola  (SCSU) led the offensive charge for the Huskies in a six-game Florida road trip where the Huskies won five games. He batted .316 (6-19) with one home run, five RBI, five runs and nine stolen bases. Riola was especially dangerous on the base paths, snagging a stolen base in five of six games, including a program-record five stolen bases against Bentley on March 11. The Louisiana transfer had his best game at the dish against Malone (March 9), as he went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI while scoring two runs.
#37 Mason Trocke  (WSU) put together a strong performance during the Winona State spring break trip to Florida this past week. He was 5-of-21 at the plate, with two runs scored. He had a home run in a win over USciences and knocked in three RBI on the trip.
 
Other Top Performances - Pitcher
#20 Tanner  Brown (AUGIE) threw a complete game giving up just two unearned runs against Wayne State (Mich.). In the seven-inning contest, he gave up six hits, two unearned runs and struck out six batters.
#36 Grant  Hartmann (BSU) earned a win against Park (AZ). He threw 6.0 innings with five strikeouts and did not allow a run or a walk, with just one extra-base hit. He recorded his first career win at BSU.
#33 Jake  Dykhoff (UMC) picked up a pair of wins in Florida as he went 6.0 innings and struck out five against Lewis. He then struck out six against Northern State in just 3.0 innings of work. He now has a 4-1 record on the season.
Noah Myhre  (MINOT) went 5.0 solid innings in a start for the Beavers with no decision, allowing 1 unearned run on just five hits while striking out 4 against Purdue University Northwest.
#47 Brian  Baker (NSU) recorded his first win of the season in a 3-1 victory over Lewis. He pitched all five innings in the rain shortened game. He allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks, while throwing a career high seven strikeouts.
#5 Caleb  Ditmarson  (USF) was 1-0 with a 1.29 earned run average this past week. In his only start and appearance, Ditmarson threw a seven-inning complete game and tied a career-high eight strikeouts in a 4-1 win over Wayne State (Mich.).
#21 Luke Tupy  (SCSU) spun a seven-inning scoreless start in an 8-3 win over Malone for the Huskies on March 9. Tupy recorded 12 strikeouts in the outing, the second consecutive start he hit that mark, and just one off the program-best mark for a single game. He only gave up four hits and two walks in the outing, picking up his first win of the season, while lowering his ERA to 2.63.
