ABERDEEN, S.D. – Minnesota State won its 10th straight NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships behind an impressive performance at Clark Swisher Athletic Complex in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The Mavericks, which have won 12 of the last 13 titles, scored 214 points to finish 78 points ahead of second place Augustana.
Augustana’s Tyl Woelber earned NSIC High Pointer performer as he scored 27 points as he was second in the javelin and the triple jump, was third in the long jump and was fourth in the high jump.
The top three finishers in each event and the top two relay teams are named to the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference team. NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Athletes and Coach of the Year will be announced next week at NorthernSun.org.
The 2022 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships are May 26-28 at Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium in Allendale, Michigan. The entire field for the NCAA Championships will be announced on Tuesday, May 17 on NCAA.com.
