Sam was elected a captain.  He will be a two-way player for us again hitting third in our lineup.  He’s a very toolsy player that can play defense, steal a base and hit a home run.

Ryan has dominated hitters for two years already and we expect the same his final year. He throws a lot of strikes and has an elite ability to get swing and miss as well. Ryan and Seth Miller will be the leaders of our pitching staff.

Our team will be very different this year after losing a big group and a lot of talented guys. At this level it's hard to replace 6 pro signees and a senior class that won more games than any class in school history. With that said, we like what we have. On the mound there is a lot of experience and a few talented new guys, so we hope that will be a strength.

Drey has steadily improved each year. By the end of last spring we started to see more consistency both defensively and offensively and his talent started to show up. He will be one of the leaders on a team that graduated several. We expect him to stabilize our team at the catcher position and be a force in the middle of the line up on offense.

We feel we are taking steps in the right direction here at Bemidji State. We have laid a solid foundation from last year, but left a lot on the table and are excited to improve upon that this year. We have a great mix of young and experienced talent and cannot wait to turn the page in the 2023 season.

Jack is greatly talented both at the plate and in the field. He is a catalyst for our offense and has taken steps in becoming a leader for our younger players. Jack has many more things to achieve not only for himself but for our program. With his hard work and drive to be great, he has set a precedence for our program of where we are going and where we want to get to.

Will is a great leader for not only our pitching staff but our entire team. His work ethic is relentless but also systematic. His successes are a direct reflection of our team's successes. Every time Will pitches he gives our team an opportunity to win. Will is a great teammate, student, community member and a prime example of what embodies BSU baseball.

With seven position players that started regularly, along with six pitchers that got significant innings, we are excited about the 2023 season. We have added some talented freshmen and transfers to that group and believe the team will compete to earn a spot in the conference tournament. Our guys have worked hard during the fall and are excited about the 2023 season.

Nick has been a mainstay in the outfield and middle of the order for his during his first three years and we look for that to continue this year. He is an athletic outfielder who brings both speed and power to our team. He has led our team in many offensive categories the past few years and earned 2nd team all NSIC during his R-Fr year. A hard worker that leads by example, we look for Nick to continue on the success he has had in past years.

As a freshman, Korey immediately jumped into the role of weekend starting pitcher for us. He led our team in wins and gave us an excellent chance to win in almost every start he took. Korey is a hard worker that continues to learn and develop. We look for him to take a big step forward during his sophomore year.

Our group has embraced challenges and raised the standard within our baseball program. It's an exciting mix of returners and incoming players. We feel like we've increased athleticism position player wise and have a pitching staff full of guys wanting to compete. I'm excited to see this group continue to come together and compete at a high level.

Derek has proven that he can succeed in the NSIC. We look for him to provide impact in the middle of our order and build upon the success that he has had to this point. Last spring Derek took a step forward as a leader in our program, we look for him to continue to grow in this respect this spring.

Austin has proven that he can anchor the front of a pitching staff in our conference. He's put together one of the best careers in UMary history. We look for him to continue to perform at a high level and lead our pitching staff.

We are excited about the season. We return the majority of our lineup from a year ago and added some talented players. Our strength will be our starting pitching with all of our starters returning from a year ago. We hope to improve our pitching depth and offense. We feel we have the players to do so.

Jake (Hjelle) has only started reaching his potential. He is a five-tool player with an elite combination of power and speed. He has a chance to have an outstanding season. He will anchor an improved offensive line-up.

Jake (Dykhoff) has a chance to be one of the best pitchers in the conference. He has great stuff and is a top-level competitor. He had some tough luck last year but kept us in nearly every ball game. I'm excited to see him pitch against some of the best teams in the conference.

With a significant offensive core returning, the development of returning pitchers paired with new faces on the pitching staff, we are excited to build off of last year's progress as a team. We graduated some key pieces but believe this year's team will have greater depth. It will be exciting to see our new players contribute throughout the year and begin the process of establishing a new core for the years ahead as well.

A two sport athlete at UMD (Football), Tim is a well rounded player on both sides of the ball. He has progressed offensively each year while often hitting in the middle of the order. We look for him to be a major factor in the success of this year's team. A 2-time captain whose resiliency impacts our whole program.

Alex is a dependable pitcher who we have relied on mostly to close out games in the past to go along with his starting SS role. His ability to throw multiple pitches with command in high pressure situations gives our team added confidence when he's on the mound. He is a quiet leader on and off the field and a 2-time captain.

The coaching staff is very excited about the 2023 season. We have an accomplished group of returners and a talented group of newcomers that have created depth at all positions. Our challenging nonconference schedule will put us in a position to compete at a high level during the rigorous conference season.

Ryan is a tough, physical everyday player. His athletic ability allows him the potential to change the game at the plate, in the field, and on the base paths.

Nathan has developed himself into a front line starter having pitched in various roles during high leverage situations. He has a tremendous passion and knowledge for the game of baseball with the unique ability to throw his fastball, curveball, and changeup for strikes anytime in the count.

I am very excited to see our team compete. We have a nice mix of new and old players that have done a great job of coming together as a team this off season. I am looking forward to see some different guys take on big roles for our program on the field. I think our upperclassman leadership has be outstanding and has set high expectations for our program. Our players have created a great culture for our program and I can not wait to see them preform this season.

Matt is a senior has played a lot of inning for our program and his veteran leadership has been and will continue to be very valuable to our team. Malone is a great teammate he really enjoys the game of baseball and helps our team create a fun environment to be apart of each day. Matt does a great job of leading and helping out our young players. We look forward to watching Matt have a very successful senior year.

Dominick is in his 6th season with our baseball program. He has been a staple for our program on the mound for a long time. Parkhurst is a great competitor which is a quality that spread to the entire time when he is on the mound. He does a great job of leading by example both on the field and in the class room. We are thankful to have Dominick back for another season, his experience and ability to pitch in big games will be very important to our group.

This group returns a large number of players who understand what it takes to compete and be successful in the NSIC. They have worked really hard to put themselves in positions to have success and help the team win baseball games. We look forward to getting on the field with this group!

Karson has worked extremely hard to put himself in a position to have a lot of success this season. He has done everything that has been asked of him and has emerged as a leader heading into this year. He will be a mainstay in our lineup and a player we can count on all year long.

Max has proven that he can consistently compete in our league. He keeps us in the game and gives us a chance to win every time he takes the mound. Max is another guy that is a great leader for our team and we look forward to seeing what he can put together this year.

We lost some key players from last year's team, but I am very excited about our younger guys getting an opportunity to step in and contribute. We have more depth on the mound this year than in year's past which should help our bullpen a great deal. After making back-to-back postseason appearances the past two years, my guys are eager to get back in the conference tournament and try to win some ballgames.

Noah is great competitor that brings a consistent approach to the game. He's developed into one of our leaders with his great work ethic and attitude. I'm excited to watch him build on his solid freshman campaign.

Caleb's one of the leaders on our pitching staff and sets the tone with his hard work. He emerged last spring as our top starting pitcher and I'm excited to see him lead our staff again this year.

We return every starting position player and all starting pitchers. We're hoping all that experience will help our chances this spring.

Isaac can hit to all fields with power. He can also steal a base. He's a complete player.

Ryan can fill up the strike zone with various pitches. He works fast and is a great fielder. He was voted our Most Valuable Pitcher as a freshman.

We’ve been lacking depth in our lineup the last few years and we feel very confident with bringing in a great recruiting class with some Division I and Junior College Transfers.  Our starting pitching rotation should be a strength of ours with a few questions in our bullpen.

Riley is a strike thrower with an upper 80’s fastball and is a fierce competitor.  He’s one of the hardest workers and best leaders we’ve had.

UIU Baseball is older with 15-16 seniors alongside some talented freshmen and junior college transfers who will serve an immediate impact in the field and on the mound. We have a good balance amongst young and old and the team is healthy at this point in our season. If we can continue to control what we can control and play solid team baseball with executing the fundamentals, we will have a chance to be successful.

Bryce is an incredible worker who continues to demonstrate high character and we look forward to watching him compete in our outfield situation and hit towards the top of the order!

Colin has an awesome story and continues impress his coaches and teammates with his attitude and energy. He has a knack for continuing to work at his craft and we look forward to having him compete on the weekends in NSIC play.

We have a team that is full of first and second year guys. They come to practice everyday with great focus and energy. Looking forward to see how their hard work translates.

Colin came to us last year and performed well as a transfer. He is looking forward to stepping up as a leader on a young Wayne team.

Corbin is a transfer from Western NE junior college. From the moment he stepped onto campus he has helped our program from a leadership standpoint. We look for him to be a rock for us in our weekend rotation.

We have a team of extremely high character that has a desire to be successful. A great combination of experience and youth will give us an opportunity to be extremely competitive. A new coaching staff has opportunity to build on the success Coach Poock has had at Winona State University.

Derek is a three-year starter and all-conference player. He has high energy and leads by example. He is extremely respected in our program and a true asset to our coaching staff along with the pitching staff. He communicates well and does everything anyone would ever ask of him as a player and teammate.

Bailey is extremely dependable pitcher who has the most conference innings returning on our staff. He is a team first player and will do anything to help us succeed. He has near a 4.0 cumulative GPA in our engineering program which can be some of the more challenging coursework on campus.
