NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#45 Katrina Theis (F, 5-11, 5th, Maple Grove, Minn. / Maple Grove HS) - St. Cloud State
- Averaged 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in a pair of wins
- Shot 22-of-39 (.564) from the field and was 9-of-10 from the line
- Scored 31 points going 11-18 from the field in a 64-57 win over Upper Iowa
- Added nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals against UIU
- Had 22 points with eight rebounds, and two steals in a 58-43 win over Winona State
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the third time this season (12/5/22 & 1/3/23)
NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#32 Aislinn Duffy (F, 6-0, Sr., Rapid City, S.D. / St. Thomas More HS) - Augustana
- Averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in wins over UMary and Minot State
- Shot 15-of-27 (.556) from the field and added two steals
- Recorded a double double with 18 points and 10 boards in a 77-57 win over UMary
- Added 23 points and eight boards in a 74-67 win over Minot State
- Named NSIC Player of the Week for the second time this season (11/28/22)
Other Top Performances - North
#14 Trinity Yoder (BSU) averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks to lead the Beavers to a 1-1 weekend. She totaled 33 points on 13-of-32 shooting from the field and including 3-for-7 from three. She recorded 22 points, four rebounds and four assists to lead the Beavers to a 70-67 victory over CSP.
#22 Megan Zander (UMary) averaged 14.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg as the Marauders split a pair of NSIC road games. She opened the weekend with 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals at Augie. She followed with 16 points and six rebounds while making 2-of-3 treys in a 56-49 win over Wayne State.
#24 Brooke Olson (UMD) averaged 22 points on 69.2% shooting from the field to go with 7.5 rebounds a game across two double-digit wins this weekend . Her .692 FG% was also second in the conference. The 7.5 boards a game was tied for eighth in the NSIC for the weekend. She tallied her 2000th career point against Upper Iowa on Friday, becoming just the third player in UMD WBB history to achieve that mark. She is just one of three active NCAA DII women to hold 2000 or more points. She finished Friday’s win with 30 points on shooting splits of 61.1% (11-18) from the field and 66.7% (4-6) from deep to go with seven rebounds. She leads a UMD team on an 11-game win streak (that’s 12-0 in NSIC play) with 18.9 PPG and 7.1 RPG. She is shooting 50.4% from the field on the season.
#14 Kennedy Harris (MINOT) had a career-high 20 points to lead the Beavers to a road win Friday night, then followed that up with 10 points in the Beavers game Saturday night.
#1 Mariah McKeever (MSUM) scored a team-high 21 points on a 47 percent shooting mark in MSUM’s win over Northern State on Tuesday. She also dished out four assists and five rebounds in the win. She tallied 12 points against Southwest Minnesota State on Friday and added 15 points on Saturday against Sioux Falls. She pulled down seven rebounds against SMSU. She averaged 16 points for the Dragons across their three games this week. She went a perfect six of six from the free throw line during the week.
#3 Rianna Fillipi (NSU) in three game this past week, Fillipi led the Wolves by averaging 14.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while also maintaining a 1.6 assist/turnover ratio. She recorded her third career double-double and first of the season in a 20-point win on the road at Southwest Minnesota State. She scored a career-high 25 points off a career-best nine made field goals (9-15) and seven made free throws (7-9) against the Mustangs. Fillipi also tied another career-high mark, grabbing 12 rebounds in in the win at SMSU.
Other Top Performances - South
#25 Megan Gamble (CSP) averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds, and three assists in a road trip split. She shot 71-percent from the field, and 40-percent from behind the arc in the two games. She scored 14 points against while going 6-8 from the field, including 2-3 from three against UMC.
#14 Destinee Bursch (MSU) scored 33 points on 14-21 (66%) shooting, went 3-4 from the 3-point line to go along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 7 steals. Bursch put together these numbers in 34 total minutes of play as the Mavericks won big on the road against Crookston (85-50) and Bemidji (90-48).
#10 Alex Dornfeld (WSU) led Winona State with 15 points across two road contests at SCSU and UMD. She averaged six rebounds per game over the weekend and continues to lead the conference with an average of 8.8 rebounds per game.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders.
