NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#23 Bren Fox (C, 6-3, R-Sr., Norwood Young America, Minn. / NYA HS ) - Minnesota Crookston
- Averaged 16.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocked shots on the weekend
- Had 17 points, 15 rebounds, and six blocked shots in a win over Sioux Falls
- Had the game-winner in overtime against USF
- Moved to second all-time in career rebounds at UMN Crookston (693)
- Had 16 points and nine boards against SMSU
- Shot 15-of-27 from the field for 55.6 percent for the weekend

#34 Michaela Jewett (G/F, 6-0, Jr., Brookings, S.D. / Brookings HS) - Augustana
- Averaged 15.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals in a pair of road wins
- Shot 10-of-23 (.435) from the field and 4-of-11 (.364) from behind the arc
- Collected her first career double-double
- Scored 13 points with 12 rebounds.in a 53-51 win at No. 10 UMD
- Had 17 points and seven boards in a 66-48 win at SCSU on Friday

#14 Trinity Yoder (BSU) led the Beavers to a 1-1 weekend by leading the team averaging 18.5 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, 8.0 assists per game and 2.50 steals per game. She shot 51.7 percent from the floor on 15-of-29 shooting. She began the weekend by scoring 21 points, earning seven assists and collecting four rebounds in the Beavers 64-69 loss to SMSU Friday night. The followed by scoring 16 points, totaling nine assists, collecting six rebounds and stealing the ball four times in the Beavers 65-61 win over Sioux Falls.
#24 Brooke Olson (UMD) averaged 23 points on 55.9% shooting this weekend. The 23 PPG was good for second in the NSIC in this span. The 55.9 FG% was also second in the conference for the weekend. She recorded a double-double of 22 points (9-12 shooting) and 11 rebounds to go with four assists and four blocks in a 74-54 win against Wayne State Friday. She leads UMD this season with a 20.3 ppg mark that’s 10th-best in the country.
#1 Mariah McKeever (MSUM) netted a team-high 17 points on Friday evening against Upper Iowa, snaring eight rebounds and four steals in that contest. - Followed up that performance with a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double against Winona State the following evening. Also dished out five assists in the win. - Averaged 19.5 points, nine rebounds and two steals over the two games this weekend. Shot 47.1 percent from the field across those two games including three three-point field goals.
#11 Kate Head (MINOT) the way averaging 16.5 points per game and 4 assists per game in the Beavers pair of road contests.
#34 Kailee Oliverson (NSU) led the Wolves by averaging a double-double this past weekend against Winona State and Upper Iowa, with 20.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. She shot 18-37 (48.6%) from the field, 1-2 (50.0%) from 3-point range, and 4-6 (66.7%) from the free throw line in the two contests. With 21 points against the Warriors and 20 against the Peacocks, she has now scored 20 or more points in six games this season and in three consecutive games. Oliverson also notched her third double-double of the season with 20 points and 14 rebounds against UIU, tying a career-high mark for rebounds in the game.
#45 Katrina Theis (SCSU) put up 24 total points, 13 rebounds, five assists, four steals, and three blocks. Against Wayne State, Theis put up 16 points with seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals. Additionally, over the weekend Theis went 4-6 from the line.
Other Top Performances - South
#21 Ally Gietzel (CSP) averaged 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds with seven assists and a block. She scored a career high 27 points on 10-17 ((58.8%) shooting in a 71-61 win against Minot State. She scored 16 against UMary with nine rebounds, three assists and a block in a 58-49 win. She went 14-of-15 from the foul line while playing all 40 minutes of both games.
#1 Joey Batt (MSU) recorded 42 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals in two Maverick wins. Against the University of Mary, Batt totaled 22 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. In a 96-78 win over Minot State, Batt had 20 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Joey shot 52% from the field (14-27), 50% from the 3-point line (4-8) and 83% from the FT line (10-12) while also leading a Maverick defense that forced 63 turnovers on the weekend.
#14 Sam Wall (SMSU) averaged 16.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a pair of road wins. She shot 11 of 26 (.423) from the field, 7 of 14 (.500) from three, and 4 of 4 (1.000) from the free throw line in 62 minutes. She scored 22 points on a career-high six three-pointers in a 75-58 win over Minnesota Crookston.
#3 Lydia Haack (UIU) averaged 23.5 points, 5.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game while leading the Peacocks to a home sweep over MSU Moorhead and Northern State. The junior point guard knocked down 45% of her shots including 4-10 from deep and added 7 makes in 8 attempts at the charity stripe. Haack sat for less than four minutes over the weekend scoring 24 points and handing out 7 assists against the Dragons and notching 23 points against the Wolves including the game winning shot with 16 seconds to play.
#1 Lauren Fech (WSU) turned in her second-highest point total of the season in one contest and led Winona State in scoring over both games of an NSIC weekend at home. > Scored 22 points vs. MSU Moorhead, going 9-of-17 from the floor. > Notched 19 points in a win over Northern State, including an 8-for-8 effort in FT’s > Was the top WSU scorer in both contests. > Reached the 500 point / 200 assist career plateau over the weekend. Currently at 523 points and 200 assists.

The NSIC is a 16-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders.
