Mary is an extremely hard worker! She puts in the work and excels at doing the little things. Her energy and passion she has for the sport is unmatched. CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, ST. PAUL

As we embark on the 2023 season, we are thrilled to build upon the significant positive changes witnessed last fall. Our women's team experienced unprecedented unity, marking a transformative shift in the last 25 years. Cross country exemplifies the epitome of team sports, and it's truly heartwarming to behold the camaraderie and support among our athletes. The genuine family-like atmosphere they've cultivated bodes well for a cohesive and harmonious team that will undoubtedly excel together. Embracing this season with enthusiasm, we understand that our pathway to success lies in harnessing the formidable power of a tightly-knit pack, where every individual's dedication contributes to our collective strength, propelling us forward.
Head Coach Jonathan Breitbarth
Kelsey personal growth has been truly remarkable, exemplifying the very essence of our program. As both an athlete and an individual, she has made significant strides, impressing us with her unwavering dedication. Notably, her leadership now radiates with a profound sense of purpose, as she fearlessly expresses the connection between her faith and running, inspiring the entire team. We eagerly anticipate the unfolding of her forthcoming season, expecting even greater achievements and accomplishments to come.
Head Coach Jonathan Breitbarth

UNIVERSITY OF MARY

Our women's team is ready to push to new heights and have a few step up that could lead to us being extremely competitive. We gained a lot of experience last year, and if we can stay healthy and determined, we could be pretty dangerous in the post-season.
Head Coach Chris Lessard
Aly has been an immense part of our success in previous years and she continues to push the team to further heights in and out of practice. She will be back in great contention this year with the hard work and determination she has shown. She is an incredible asset to have on our team and are excited to see what she does this fall.
Head Coach Chris Lessard

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA CROOKSTON

We will be very young this season, as we only have one senior on the roster. Even though our team placement was not where we wanted it to be at the 2022 NSIC Championships, we were able to decrease our team 6K average time by over two minutes from the year before. We have a tight group of returners and five talented incomers joining us. I can't wait to see what the team will be able to accomplish this season!
Head Coach Steven Krouse
Madison came in last season and finished first on the team in every race as a true freshman. Madison holds herself to high standards and is always looking for ways that she can improve. Coming off a great offseason of training, I am excited to watch Madison continue to develop as a leader and attain her goals on the course!
Head Coach Steven Krouse

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA DULUTH

The Bulldogs return key veterans from the 2022 National Championship qualifying team and have an exciting group of talented newcomers that are ready to make an immediate impact. The UMD women have consistently shown their determination and commitment to each other and their team culture which will help propel an exciting season ahead!
Head Coach Brette Jensen
Lauryn has been a phenomenal and steady leader for our group throughout all of her years at UMD. She comes to practice each day with a positive attitude and it's been fulfilling to see her self-confidence develop. She has been consistently improving each year in all domains, and I'm excited about her progress from this last track and field season and all of the potential that lies ahead for this fall!
Head Coach Brette Jensen

MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, MANKATO

I am extremely excited for the upcoming season and get back to the national meet again this year as a team. We did lose a few of our core runners to graduation but we are still returning a solid group from our national team, along with the additions of transfers and our incoming recruiting class. I am looking forward to continue to build off our successful season last year and see what this team can do.
Head Coach Jen Blue
MaKenna has made great strides throughout her past four years as a Maverick. She is extremely dedicated and does all of the extra things (stretching, core work, hip mobility, etc.) that has helped her achieve her goals in cross country and track and earning All-American honors in both. It has been fun to watch her grow not just as an athlete but as a person as well and move into a leadership role with the team. Her work ethic and leadership is something that her teammates and I can rely on. I am extremely excited to see how far she can go this year.
Head Coach Jen Blue

MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY MOORHEAD

Our team this Fall will have six freshman led by Grace Dorsher and Kaelyn Berg. If our incoming athletes successfully navigate the transition to college life and training we'll be well positioned to be highly competitive during our Fall championships.
Head Coach Ryan Milner
Grace is the epitome of work ethic consistency. I'm excited to see how her years of consistent work and steady improvement translate to her race performances this fall.
Head Coach Ryan Milner

MINOT STATE UNIVERSITY

Minot State's women's program looks drastically different this year, in the best way. Our roster size has grown from six to fifteen, which is the most exciting thing to see. We are returning all six of our athletes who competed at last year's NSIC Championships and are adding some freshmen and redshirts who will immediately make a difference for this team. Our returning six are a solid core to shape this program and start to climb the ranks at the NSIC Championship once again. Our main goal is to at least match our 2021 placing. This team, especially with so many newcomers, will be stronger than last year's and we're really excited to see how they develop this year and on.
Head Coach Sarah Fowler
Sidra has really busted out onto the scene with a breakout track season this past spring. With a challenging start to her collegiate career, she stayed fully committed and trusted the process, knowing her time would come and it sure has paid off! Going into her junior year this fall, she has solidified herself as a leader of the program, being one of the few upper classmen on the women's team both on and off the course. She is a dedicated student, being named to the NSIC Academic Team of Excellence multiple times. If anyone asks her, she will firmly say she is not a distance runner, but we all know a fantastic mid-distance runner can also be a great cross country runner too. Sidra can do both and do both well. She's had a fantastic summer and is ready to surprise some people.
Head Coach Sarah Fowler

NORTHERN STATE UNIVERSITY

We have an amazing group of leaders on this team. These ladies are extremely dedicated and driven to do well this season. We add a very dynamic group of incoming freshmen as well. We are excited to see what they can do this season.
Head Coach Lynne Dingman
Megan is our top returner from last season. She is coming off a great outdoor season where she placed in the 10K. Megan is extremely dedicated and she has put in the work this summer. We are excited to see what Megan can do this cross country season.
Head Coach Lynne Dingman

UNIVERSITY OF SIOUX FALLS

We lost some key members off our team from last year, but we bring lots of experience to the starting line. It will be exciting to see how some of the younger and veteran runners will step to fill in the spots from graduation.
Head Coach Doug Petersen
Khot was All-NSIC second team in 2022 and an NCAA National Cross Country Championships qualifier, placing 48th at the Championships in Seattle. She had indoor NCAA Provisional Marks in the Mile and 3k. Outdoors she had NCAA Provisional qualifying marks in the 1500m and 5k. She set six school records last year during the indoor and outdoor season.
Head Coach Doug Petersen

SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE UNIVERSITY

On paper, this should be the most complete women's team we have put together. I am excited to see how it all comes together.
Head Coach Kirk Nauman
Macie made great strides last year as a sophomore. This included a school record, plus a number of big career PR's. She has been putting in the work and seeing dramatic results.
Head Coach Kirk Nauman

ST. CLOUD STATE UNIVERSITY

I am very excited to see our team compete this season! The women have responded extremely well to adversity this past year and I am so proud of their effort and desire to continue getting better over the summer. We are bringing in a talented group of first years who are looking to make an impact right away. Our returns are some the best leaders in program history and I'm confident we'll have an outstanding season!
Head Coach Gabrielle Brown
Greta is the ultimate third year who's looking for that top 20 finish at the conference championship. She finished her sophomore season with her fastest time, and PR, of the season at the NCAA Central Region Championships. She has put a lot of hard work this off season to better herself and come out strong this fall as a leader for St. Cloud State.
Head Coach Gabrielle Brown

WAYNE STATE COLLEGE

We have a good mix of both veteran runners and a nice group of freshman/sophomores who I think will be pushing for a spot in the top seven. There are several runners who on any given meet could be our number one through seven runners, which will help make everyone more competitive. Overall, that sets us up well for a team that should really be looking to improve on our overall finish from last year at the NSIC Championships.
Head Coach Marlon Brink
Kelsey was our top finisher at Regionals last year and #2 at four other meets. She followed that up with a breakthrough season on the track, where she broke the school record in the 1000 meter run and also set new personal best marks in all of her other track events during the indoor and outdoor seasons. Kelsey has really developed into a very versatile mid-distance/distance runner for us, who should be on course for a great senior season.
Head Coach Marlon Brink

WINONA STATE UNIVERSITY

We have are top four runners back in Lindsay Cunningham, Kaylee Beyer, McKenna Taylor and Sophia Taarud. Kylie Anderson, who had an foot injury last year has been healthy and training well. Rachel Hoffman is coming back for a fifth year. Rhya Brandemuehl, Mara Talabac, Bellamy Sukaski, and Maddy Palmer have a year of experience. Lastly, the addition of Allison Kenefick along with the incoming freshmen should give us more depth. I feel like this group is capable of being very competitive and we should have a return trip to Nationals.
Head Coach John Hibshman
Lindsay is having another great summer of training and it will be fun to see her continual improvement. She is one of the hardest worker I have ever coached.
