NSIC Player of the Week
#14 Destinee Bursch (G, 5-7, Jr., Chaska, Minn. / Eden Prairie HS) - Minnesota State
- Averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in a road sweep
- Shot 55.8 percent from the field, connecting on 19-of-34 shots
- Scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 79-51 win over BSU
- Finished with 25 points, six assists, two rebounds and a steal in a 100-49 win at UMC
- Became the 25th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points
NSIC Shining 5*
Ally Gietzel (CSP)
- Scored a team-high 25 points in CSP’s 64-55 victory over St. Cloud State
- Led the team in rebounds with seven, in assists with three and in steals with two
- Shot 9-14 from the field for her second-highest field goal percentage of the season at 64.3%
- Shot 100% from the free throw line going 6-for-6
- Played a team-high minutes at 39:35 and leads the NSIC in minutes per game
- Seventh time this season scoring 20+ points and her second time this season scoring 20+ points in back-to-back games
Lexie Schneider (UMary)
- Averaged 24.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two home games
- Scored 25 points and had 15 rebounds for her seventh double double this season in a loss to Augustana
- Was 10-for-23 from the field and 5-of-6 at the line with three assists against the Vikings
- Nearly perfect in a 73-40 win over Wayne State, scoring 24 points while making 8-of-10 from the field
- Connect on all eight free throws while adding three assists and three steals in the win over WSC
Rianna Fillipi (NSU)
- Averaged 11.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in wins against Wayne State and Augustana
- Tallied her second double-double of the year with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 62-53 win over WSC
- Notched her 1,000 career point in the win over WSC
- Recorded a career-high 13 rebounds against Augustana
- Made 7-of-19 (36.8 %) from the floor and 4-of-10 from 3-point range
- Added three steals and two blocks
Sam Wall (SMSU)
- Led SMSU in scoring with 22.0 ppg over the weekend
- Scored season-high 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting in a 74-61 win over MSU Moorhead
- Tallied 1,000th career point against MSUM
- Led NSIC over the weekend with 12 made 3-pointers
- Scored game-high 20 points in a 80-42 win over Minot State

About the NSIC
The NSIC is a 15-team, 18-sport, NCAA Division II conference with institutions located in Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC is a model Division II conference that uses high-level athletics competition to develop champions in the classroom and community while empowering student-athletes to be impactful and positive leaders. Formed in 1992 by the merger of the Northern Intercollegiate Conference (men’s league) and the Northern Sun Conference (women’s league), the NSIC has flourished over the past quarter century, maturing into a union of Upper Midwest colleges and universities.
