BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Augustana University was again selected in the NSIC Preseason Women's Tennis Coaches’ Poll to win the NSIC. The Vikings are the 14-time defending NSIC Champions,  have won 160 consecutive NSIC regular season matches and have been picked to win the league every year since the preseason poll's inception in 2018.

The Vikings amassed 81 points and all nine first place votes after going 18-5 and 9-0 in the NSIC in 2024, while advancing to the NCAA Central Region Tournament. Minnesota State was selected second with 70 points and the other first place vote (coaches cannot vote for their own team).  Sioux Falls was third with 63 points while the University of Mary was fourth with 58 points.

The preseason coaches’ poll is based off each coach ranking each team with the top team receiving 9 points, second 8, third 7, etc.

The 2025 NSIC Women's Tennis season gets underway on Friday, January 31 with non-conference action. UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA DULUTH

This year’s team is one of the most positive and ambitious groups of young women I’ve ever had the privilege to coach. Each player brings a unique perspective and quality to the game, and their individuality enhances the dynamic of the team as a whole. They consistently challenge one another in constructive ways, focusing on positive interactions to bring out the best in each other. Their drive, resilience, and passion for the game are truly contagious, and it’s inspiring to see that energy ignite during every practice and match. I’m so excited to see what this incredible group will accomplish together this season.
Head Coach Jessica Worden
Luana is an incredible addition to our team, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her join us this year. She’s an amazing person both on and off the court. From the moment she arrived, she fully immersed herself into our program, and the way she has shared her past experiences and connected with her teammates has been phenomenal. Her dedication, leadership, and passion for the game are truly inspiring. My only regret is that we only get one year with her, but I have no doubt she’s going to leave a lasting impact on our program and find great success as a Bulldog

We are excited about our freshman recruits and returning players to be a competitive team in the NSIC. We are playing a strong schedule and the Warriors will work hard to improve with every match. I feel we have depth with our roster and players will be ready to help out and support each other in the event of injuries and anything else that might come the Warriors way during the season!
Head Coach Tom Sanvik
After missing about a third of the season matches last year due to injuries, Skylar has work hard in the off-season to get herself ready to go. She played a lot at our No. 4 singles position last year going 5-1 in the NSIC with a 8-1 over-all record and earning second team all-conference in doubles. Skylar is a very dedicated athlete, that spends the extra time on the tennis skills that make her a complete all around player for the Warriors!
