KANSAS CITY, Mo. - United Soccer Coaches announced the association's 2025 Scholar All-America Teams. The NSIC had two student-athletes earn second team honors in St. Cloud State's Brooke Quam and Bemidji State's Katrina Barthelt.

Quam, who becomes the first Scholar All-American in program history, has maintained a 3.43 GPA as a Management major. Quam was named to the D2CCA All-America Third Team, D2CCA and USC All-Central Region First Teams and was the first recipient of the NSIC midfielder of the year honor while earning her third All-NSIC honor (2023-25) and second first team honor (2023, 2025). She led the NSIC in total assists with eight while adding two goals for 12 points. She scored both of her goals in NSIC play while adding three assists for seven points while helping lead SCSU to a program-record 11 conference wins.

Barthelt is finishing her degree in Exercise Science and holds a 4.00 grade point average.

Bemidji State juniors Julia Freed and Megan Ko along wth St. Cloud State Ana Spaine were also selected to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Scholar All-North/Central Team. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be nominated by her head coach and have at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average, play a minimum of 75 percent of games during the season of nomination and be an elite player as supported by playing honors such as All-American, All-Region and All-Conference. Juniors and above on the field are able to be nominated for the award.
