NSIC ATHLETES TO WATCH & COACHES QUOTE

AUGUSTANA UNIVERSITY (3rd)

Our women's team is filled with experienced seniors who have consistently performed at a high level throughout their collegiate careers. Their leadership and competitive experience will be instrumental in guiding our younger athletes as they develop within the program. I’m excited to see them continue building on their success while setting the standard for the next generation.
Head Coach Scott Tanis
Ella thrives in the longer events and the outdoor season allows her ability to be on full display. She is the defending NSIC champion in the 10K and was also All-NSIC in the 5K last year, placing 3rd and coming back as the top returner in the event. Her experience and determination make her a key asset to our team and we are excited to see what she accomplishes this season.
Head Coach Scott Tanis
Kylee has a tremendous workout ethic and has improved each year she's been at Augustana. She scored in 4 events at last year's outdoor conference meet and has continued to elevate her performance since, including qualifying for nationals in the pentathlon this indoor season. Her dedication and versatility make her a key contributor to our team and I have no doubt she will continue to excel this spring.

CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, ST. PAUL (9th)

This year's version of the women's team is one of the most fun rosters I've been able to lead during my time at CSP. The team is connected emotionally and is supportive of one another in ways that go deeper than simply cheering for each other in training and meets.
Head Coach Sam Johnson
Nyadio will return to the outdoor track this spring as a reigning NSIC point scorer from the outdoor conference championships last year. She continued to show progress this indoor season, setting personal bests in the 600m, 800m, and 1000m, breaking the school record in the 800m three times during the season. Her indoor 800m personal best is nearly the equivalent of her outdoor best from last year, so we believe she is ready for an incredible outdoor season this spring.
Head Coach Sam Johnson
Maya is really starting to come into her own after a strong indoor campaign which saw her finish 3rd at the indoor conference meet in shot put. Carrying a streak of rebreaking her personal record in the event weekly heading into the conference meet, we knew she was physically ready to compete at the highest of levels; but she also showed that she was mentally resilient by handling the pressure of her expectations.
