I am really excited about the talented depth of this group. I think our mix of veterans with our young talent is going to surprise a lot of teams. We are just excited to compete.
Head Coach Jason Reitmeier
Coy has been the most improved wrestler on the team every year he has been at Augustana. Continues to grow in his sport while holding himself to a high standard in the classroom. In Coy's first full season being healthy he won a competitive 174 lbs region 5 title to qualify for the national tournament. Coy is a two year captain leading by example with his work ethic and commitment.

I'm excited for our team's continued development this season. This preseason, we've already seen significant improvement in many of our guys' technique, focus, and ability to push themselves, and we're still only scratching the surface of our training. Each and every workout, it feels like our guys are walking away better versions of themselves than when they showed up. The individuals on the team this year truly want to be at UJ, and they want to get better at wrestling - which is a recipe for success.
Head Coach Christian Komitas
Issac has been a pleasure to be around since stepping on campus in August. He is a hard worker and a true student of the sport. He has a reinvigorated passion for wrestling following his transfer this summer, and he is a leader in the room for the younger guys on our team. We're excited to watch him continue to develop on and off the mat over the course of the season!

What excites me most about this year's team is the experience, leadership, and competitive drive we have throughout our room. Our scholar-athletes have invested a great deal into this program and are committed to pushing one another to improve as they pursue excellence in all facets of their lives. I'm excited to see their growth and commitment to the process translate onto the mat throughout the season.

What excites me most about this year’s team is the leadership we have within the group and the chemistry they’re developing. We have some really good leaders who understand that building a successful team is about more than what happens on the mat. They’ve done a great job bringing guys together, holding each other accountable, and making sure everyone feels like they’re part of what we’re building. We have a lot of different personalities and a good mix of returning wrestlers, transfers, and freshmen, but they’ve really started to come together as one group. You can see relationships developing, guys supporting each other, and teammates genuinely wanting to see each other succeed.
Head Coach Brady Wilson
Jake is a guy who really represents what we want our program to be about. He’s consistent, he works hard every day, and he leads by the way he carries himself in and out of the wrestling room. Jake is a great teammate—he’s dependable, coachable, and he’s always willing to do whatever he can to make the guys around him better. What stands out to me is his approach. He comes in ready to work, competes hard, and doesn’t need a lot of attention or recognition. He just goes about his business the right way. I think he’s someone our younger guys can look to as an example, and I’m excited to see what he can accomplish this season.

The team has been working hard all preseason, and we’re looking forward to getting started. We’ll need to keep improving throughout the season to reach the goals the guys have set for themselves. That’s going to take a lot of hard work and staying healthy. We graduated a large senior class, but we have a good group returning with experience competing at a high level. Six of our returners have competed in the NCAA Super Region V tournament, including two who have been regional placewinners. Liam Babitt is a two-time regional placewinner coming off a 22-win season at 285 pounds. We feel he can continue to improve and have a strong year. Anthony Sykora at 174 pounds has also shown he can compete with highly ranked wrestlers at the Division II level. We also have Landon Walker at 125 pounds, who redshirted last season, and Gunner Hostetter at 157 pounds. Both showed promise during their freshman seasons, and we feel they can do well for us. They’ll both be pushing for starting spots this season. We brought in 11 recruits, including nine freshmen and two transfers. Kaden DeCouteau joins us at 149 pounds after placing at regionals last season for UMary. Tayshaun Glover transferred from North Dakota State, where he had some big wins, and will compete for us at 197 pounds. We feel both can make an impact right away. We’ve also been excited about the freshmen in the room, and some will push for starting spots this season. That group includes Carl Andrade and Jent Beyer at 125/133, Cash Botting at 149, Zack Carr at 141/149, Gabe Cohn at 197, Adrian Gomez at heavyweight, Hunter Parisien and Parker Zutter at 157, and Ian Phrakonkham at 141. They’ve been working hard and adjusting well, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they develop.
Head Coach Kris Nelson
Liam is going into his junior season as one of our captains, and he’s a guy who leads by example. He works hard all year, and that carries over into his everyday life, his jobs, and his family. He also represents Dragon Wrestling on our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. One thing I really appreciate about Liam is how much he cares about his teammates. He wants to do well himself, but he also wants to see the guys around him succeed. He’s there to support them and push them to reach their goals. Liam is mature for his age and is always looking for ways to get better on the mat, in the classroom, and in life. He’s willing to listen and learn, and he puts in the work. Last season, he had 22 wins and only six losses, and he’s looking to improve on that this season and reach his goals. I’m excited to see him keep growing as a wrestler and a leader.

With this being my first year here at Minot State, I am so excited to continue to build on this team's success and help build this team to jump another level on and off the mats. We have nine transfers and five incoming freshmen, and one new full-time assistant coach, who are new to this program! Watching everyone help each other and continue to build each other up and push each other physically and mentally has been a great sight to see! We are on the right path, and I am so excited for the future of Beaver wrestling.
Head Coach Gresh Jones
Kekoa spent all summer training in Japan to improve his craft, and it has shown this first month of school and wrestling. He is looking confident and composed on the mat, and we as a staff are loving what we are seeing from him. Kekoa is what most coaches would call a goofball! He is very outgoing, fun to be around (loves to dance), works his tail off every day, and is well respected by his teammates. Kekoa red-shirted last year, so we are really excited to see him in NSIC action this year!

We have a great group of guys who have embraced a strong shared identity built on passion, purpose, and a commitment to one another. They have set a high standard for what it means to be part of this team and continue to show up every day with the mindset and work ethic it takes to grow together. Their commitment to both individual and team goals has created a culture where everyone is invested in pushing one another, finding new ways to improve, and becoming better as a team.
Head Coach Joshua Nolan
Sloan has continued to grow tremendously as both an athlete and a leader within our program. His work ethic, consistency, and commitment represent everything our coaching staff looks for in a student-athlete, both on and off the mat. We are excited to continue watching Sloan develop and take the next steps in his career, building on the growth and success he has shown to this point.

Cooper has emerged as a leader for our team. He has a tremendous work ethic and leads by example. We are really excited to see what he can do this year.

This year's team features one of the hardest working and most energetic groups that I've had the pleasure to coach. They are also some of the first recruits that I brought to campus, and they are finally coming into their right as upperclassmen. I'm looking forward to seeing them go out and compete and go out and battle with everybody in the conference this season. And I truly think it is their attitude and effort that make them stand apart from the rest of the field.
Head Coach Chayse Jackson
In just one year, and as a redshirt, Doyan Saint Germain has emerged as a leader within our program, both on and off the mat. He is constantly asking the staff and the coaches what more he can do to be become a better wrestler and a better person. On the mat he also proved himself very quickly scoring over 50 team points in just five events and finding a fall in almost half of his matches while boasting a 60% win percentage. He's a dynamic and technical wrestler that competes from whistle to whistle, and I'm truly excited to see him back on the mat again!

I'm excited about the people in our room. We have a group of wrestlers who are talented, hardworking, and genuinely invested in each other's success. The culture they've created, their daily commitment to improvement, and their belief in what we can accomplish together makes me excited to come to work every day. I believe this team has the character and potential to do something special.

I am excited to welcome another 12 individuals to our program, they have already enhanced our team culture and are fitting right in with the rest of the team. Personally, I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with the members of our team and the time spent with each other across the season. We have a great group of hardworking individuals that enjoy being around each other and doing what they do. I also look forward to another competitive season in the NSIC.
Head Coach Nick Becker
This is Brody's second year as a team captain for the Rangers. He leads by example and also excels in the classroom. He graduated with his undergrad degree last year and will be working towards earning his Master's Degree in Sport Management these next two seasons. He has been a multiple time Academic All-American and sets a high standard for his teammates. He is the type of person that will put the teams accomplishments above his own.
