MANKATO, Minn. – Six women’s and five men’s events are complete following day one of the 2025-26 NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships held at Myers Field House in Mankato, Minnesota.

After five of 19 men’s events the 14-time defending champions of Minnesota State leads with 41.0 points. Augustana is second with 27 while Northern State & MSU Moorhead are tied for third with 24 points. 

After six women’s events the five-time defending champions of Minnesota State lead with 77.33 points. The University of Mary is second with 28 points while Northern State is third with 27.33 points. 

Minnesota State's Miranda Lauvstad had a record-breaking performance in the long jump as she leapt 20-10 (6.35m) to surpass MSU's Mckayla Jackson's mark of 20-4.5 (6.21m) from 2023.

The championship has 15 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams competing. All-Conference performers shall consist of the top three place winners in each event and the members of the top three relay teams.
 
The championship continues Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. with pentathlon events while field events begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by track finals at 1:30 p.m.
