NCAA Interactive Bracket
INDIANAPOLIS– The NCAA has announced the eight teams that will compete at the central region women's basketball tournament and the NSIC will have Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota State and Minnesota Duluth extend their seasons.
The NSIC, the Great American Conference (GAC) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) make up the 41-team NCAA Central Region again this year. The top eight teams in the region advance to the NCAA Regional Tournament on March 13, 14 & 16. Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the NSIC, GAC and MIAA postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots being awarded on an at-large basis.
Minnesota State women's basketball (29-2, 21-1 NSIC) earned the No. 1 seed in the 2026 NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament. The Mavericks will face No. 8 seed Minnesota Duluth (21-11) in the opening round on Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m. Minnesota State will also serve as the host for the Central Region Tournament, with all games taking place inside the Taylor Center in Mankato, Minnesota.
Concordia-St. Paul earned the second seed and will take on Northwestern Oklahoma State in the opening round.
The NCAA Elite Eight will take place on March 24, 26, 28 at UMPC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh.
