SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — University of Sioux Falls defeated Bemidji State University 4-0 in the quarterfinal round of the NSIC Women’s Tennis Tournament on Friday at Match Pointe.

The Cougars (9-10) secured the doubles point with decisive wins at No. 2 and No. 3. The duo of Sydney Osburn and Ella Hancock earned a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Emma Rangel and Mylin Lemke followed with a 6-1 win at No. 3 to give Sioux Falls an early 1-0 lead.

In singles play, Sioux Falls quickly closed out the match with straight-set victories at three positions. Sydney Osburn posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles, and Emma Rangel matched that scoreline at No. 6. Chloe Siegfort clinched the match at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.

Three additional singles matches went unfinished after the Cougars secured the team victory.

Bemidji State concludes its season with a 10-8 record.

With the win, Sioux Falls advances to the NSIC Tournament semifinals and will face Minnesota State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
