AUSTIN, Texas – Winona State softball student-athletes
Alyssa Woelfel and
Jayda Berg along with Augustana's
Andrea Cain were selected as 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans.
Woelfel was named to the 2026 CSC Academic All-America First Team while Berg earned Second Team Academic All-America honors. Cain took home third team honors.
Woelfel, a junior from New Holstein, Wis., has a 4.00 GPA in Marketing. As the NSIC Player of the Year, Woelfel led Winona State and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in almost every offensive statistic. Woelfel finished the season with a batting average of .406 and 78 hits with a slugging percentage of .651. Woelfel started in all 59 games for the Warriors which helped her earn First Team All-NSIC honors.
Berg, a junior from Coon Valley, Wis., holds a 4.00 GPA with an Allied Health major. During the 2026 season, Bergt collected First Team All-NSIC and Second Team D2CCA All-Region accolades after holding a 20-4 record on the season. Berg tallied 168.2 innings of work in the circle across 33 appearances and 24 starts while striking out 126 batters and walking just 13.
A 2026 NCAA Division II Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winner and an NFCA All-Region honoree, Cain put together an impressive season at the plate and in the field in her final season in the Navy and Gold. Cain is a four-time NSIC Champion and former NSIC freshman of the Year. She secured two NFCA All-Region honors and has been named an all-conference honoree in all four seasons.
