WBCA Release
ATLANTA – The NSIC had five teams ranked in the 2025-26 WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls announced today by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
Southwest Minnesota State ranked sixth in NCAA Division II with their 3.811 GPA. MSU Moorhead was 15th at 3.757 and Sioux Falls rounded out the top-20 with at 3.732 GPA. Northern State was 21st at 3.730 and St. Cloud State was 23rd with a 3.726 GPA.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women’s basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
Winona State (3.628), Minnesota State (3.513), and UMary (3.510) earned a special mention in the release.
