The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Commissioner for Operations. The NSIC office is located in Burnsville, Minnesota, and serves 16 NCAA Division II member institutions across Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The NSIC sponsors 18 conference championships and is recognized as a progressive Division II conference with a strong commitment to academic and athletic excellence.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to: The position will be responsible for assisting with strategic initiative activation. This position will focus on internal operations, managing aspects of membership engagement, NCAA programming, assisting in officiating program operations in the sports of volleyball, soccer, football, men and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball. Additionally, the position will serve as a liaison from the Commissioner’s Office in support of conference coaching and administrative groups.
 
This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience. A master’s degree and/or experience in intercollegiate athletics is preferred but not required. The position will remain open until it is filled.
 
Qualifications: Candidates must have strong communication skills. The ability to manage and lead membership driven groups. Sports management degree or like degree program candidates preferred.
