The 2012 NSIC Women's Tennis Bracket has been announced with the top six teams from the final regular season standing making the up the field. Augustana (10-0) and Winona State (9-1) both earned first round byes after gaining the top two seeds. Third seeded Upper Iowa (8-2) will take on sixth seeded MSU Moorhead (5-5) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 at the Lifetime Fitness Oakdale (Village Tennis) in Minnetonka, Minn. The tournament will open with fourth seeded Minnesota State (7-3) taking on fifth seeded St. Cloud State (6-4) at 11:00 a.m.

The single elimination dual format tournament will continue Saturday afternoon with the MSU/SCSU winner taking on Augustana at 4:00 p.m. Then the UIU/MSUM winner will take on Winona State in the final match of the day at 6:30 p.m. The NSIC Championship match will be played on Sunday, April 22nd at 12:30 p.m.

NSIC Women’s Tennis Tournament Champion earns automatic qualification to the 2012 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Central Regional Tournament. First and Second Rounds are first week in May at a location to be determined (on campus). The finals are May 16-19, 2012 at Top Gun Tennis Academy and Springhurst Tennis Club, and E.P. Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.
