2021 NSIC/Sanford Health Basketball Tournaments

The NSIC / Sanford Health Men’s & Women's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Championships will take place Thursday-Sunday, February 25-28 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The top four teams from each division will compete in the eight-team tournaments. Women's quarterfinals are scheduled for Thursday & Friday at 10 a.m. & 1 p.m. while men's quarterfinals will be played on Thursday & Friday at 4 & 7 p.m. Women's semifinals will be Saturday at 10 a.m. & 1 p.m. while the men's will be at 4 & 7 p.m. The women's championship will be Sunday at 1 p.m. and the men to follow at 4 p.m. All games will air on MidcoSN and on the NSIC Network.  *All times subject to change.   

No spectators will be allowed at the 2021 NSIC / Sanford Health Basketball Tournaments.

Brackets and Seeding Policy

The tie-breaking criteria for seeding into the 2021 NSIC/Sanford Health Post-Season Tournament will be as follows (By Division): 

  1. Divisional win/loss percentage.
  2. Head-to-head. 
  3. Point rating system – divisional conference games only.
  4. Head-to-head competition of descending common divisional teams. 
  5. Coin flip.
