Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Commissioner Erin Lind has announced the hiring of Mary Toberman as the coordinator of women’s basketball officials on April 21, 2022.

Toberman has a diverse career in officiating, working on the court at many different levels. She has severed as a NCAA women’s basketball referee at the Division I, II and III levels from 2002 to 2017. She then transitioned to the newly formed role of NCAA Division III National Coordinator of Officials, a position she continues to hold. 

Toberman worked numerous years as a NSIC women’s basketball official, including multiple NSIC Tournament and NCAA Regional games.  She was also selected to officiate in the Division III national championship rounds in 2009 and 2013, and the Division I WNIT first round in 2017. 
In addition to her collegiate work, Toberman has worked Premier Basketball League (PBL) men’s games from 2007 to 2010 and served previously as a high school varsity official in Oregon and Minnesota.
